💪🏼 Morning Strength Done 💪🏼

I was feeling pretty de-motivated this morning but after a strong coffee I was ready to go. There was a lot of ab and arm work on the programme this morning which I don’t love.. 💔 but I got through it and now ready for the rest of my day!

Check out my stories for how I really felt during my workout this morning 🙈

💪🏼 This morning’s home workout was bought to you by coffee and Tiger King bed hair 💪🏼

I’ve been following home workout guide which has been perfect for no equipment workouts! I’m enjoying morning workouts at the mo as I can have my coffee and train at the same time 💁🏻‍♀️

Are you setting any fun training goals at the mo? I think this might be the time to finally crack press-ups or maybe eve burpees 😬😬 or maybe I should just chill and eat an Easter egg 🤣

☀️Morning Stretch☀️

A wonderful morning out in the garden! Rolling out, a short pilates YouTube workout and stretching. I’m trying to make the most of these slow mornings and enjoy taking the time to do workout I wouldn’t normally do. Now time for a smoothie and reading my book... a packed out schedule today 🤣

Happing Saturday from me, my quarantine mate and my brace elastics 🤣

Tackled a 10k today this morning before the sun came out to avoid other people! It went ok.. still struggling with fitness but it will get there!

💪🏼💪🏼 Enjoy your weekend and stay safe 💪🏼💪🏼

I’m running Manchester Marathon and training starts today! Kicking of with a very cold 7k this morning 😱 😱

I’ve had a month off Instagram & a month off structured training and it has felt pretty good! I definitely needed a break.. for sure. Even though I know marathon training isn’t easy and it takes a lot of your time, mental determination and just pure stubbornness, I’m excited and ready to get cracking!

As I start this new season of training, I thought I’d share my top three tips for anyone starting marathon training this winter:

1. Get some good kit staples but don’t break the bank. Priorities are staying warm, dry and end with toenails intact. Get a good pair of trainers that have been fitted, grab some running leggings and a light weight waterproof jacket. You can get good running kit from TKMaxx & sports direct.. we don’t need to head straight to lululemon.. however much we love it 😂

2. Be Flexible! Things will never all go to plan & progress is not always linear. So be flexible, adapt the plan when you need to, stick to it when you can. Listen to your body and the inevitable niggles that come along the way with marathon training and use your training plan to suit you, not the other way round.

3. Have fun! The most important thing, whether you on your first marathon or your thirty first, find the joy in running. Be grateful. Embrace the endorphins. Go out there and smash it!

Good luck to everyone who is starting their marathon training over the next few weeks, have fun, pace yourself & remember this is a marathon, not a sprint 😂🧡 @ London, United Kingdom

⭐️ Do what makes you feel alive ⭐️ .
This picture is from exactly a week ago! It was 7am and I’d just finished an exhilarating 20 min swim in Lake Zurich! The water temp was 20 degrees, the air temp was 12 degrees and everything in me was telling me it was a bad idea to go for a swim 😂😂 However, that 1% of me knew it would also be amazing!
There is something about swimming in open water and swimming in cold water which resets me and calms me, it’s incredible! There was one other person who was mad enough to go for a swim on a rainy Thursday morning but apart from that, it was just me and the water. It’s one of the only things I do that genuinely stops my mind from racing or thinking about the next thing. I’m not distracting myself with music or a podcast, not making lists or planning my day, just enjoying being in nature and being alive! It’s a joy 🧡 if you swim but haven’t tried open water swimming, I would recommend it - do it now before the winter closes in.. you won’t regret it!
