Only one solo swimmer flying the COWS flag today up at Bilgola. But thanks to our support crew and photographer Kristy Robinson for being part of the fun! So the day started out beautiful, 25 degrees and blue skies and I was excited for a relaxing swim in such a picturesque location. Well that didn't last long....that pesky southerly front that had been threatening to ruin the day turned up and well...ruined the day (almost). Blue skies turned grey and the swell picked up with the gusty winds. Never mind those pesky white caps! The swim must however go on and it did! On reflection the post-swim coffee does always taste just that little bit better when you've taken on Mother Nature and come out the other side a success. Hoping for better weather next year though!!
