We LOVE seeing our students enjoying their ballet! ✨
At Hertsmere Academy of Dance & Performing Arts, ballet is about so much more than simply learning dance routines.

For some students, it becomes a serious and rewarding training journey, with the opportunity to work towards RAD examinations and recognised qualifications. For others, it is simply about discovering a love of dance, having fun, building confidence, keeping active and enjoying being part of a class.

Both are equally important.

Our aim is to provide quality teaching in a friendly and encouraging environment, where students can develop their technique, musicality, confidence and performance skills while enjoying the wonderful world of dance.

With RAD-qualified teaching, professional experience and over 25 years of teaching, we give students the opportunity to learn properly, progress at their own pace and discover just how much dance can offer.

🩰 Whether your child dreams of performing, wants to work towards exams, or simply wants to have fun and learn ballet, there is a place for them here.

✨ Have you seen this? ✨
We are absolutely delighted to see what our former student Karla Crome is achieving!
Karla attended Hertsmere Academy before going on to build a hugely successful acting career, with lead and major roles across television and film. From her memorable role in Misfits, to starring in Carnival Row alongside Orlando Bloom (lucky girl)... Karla has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry.
But Karla has continued to go from strength to strength, developing her talents as both a playwright and screenwriter.
Her latest achievement is particularly exciting. Karla is the creator and writer of the new Sky Original series Possession, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jonny Lee Miller and Bel Powley. The five-part series is currently available on Sky and NOW.

It is such a huge delight to see Karla continue to achieve her dreams and carve out an incredible career in the industry.

And to think... it all started right here with us! ❤️

We couldn’t be prouder to have played a small part in the beginning of Karla’s journey, and we wish her every continued success for the future. 🌟

Every certificate represents hard work, commitment and progress, and we are delighted to see that effort recognised.
