🎭 ISTD Modern challenge: turn a summer feeling into movement. Choose one word, like sunshine, adventure, calm, excitement, or freedom.
Now create four moves that show that word without speaking.
Modern dance helps children express ideas, emotions, and stories using the whole body.
What word would you dance?

🧢 Streetdance holiday challenge: invent a “signature move” that feels like you. It could be cheeky, smooth, sharp, bouncy, or super cool.
Give it a name and teach it to someone at home.
Streetdance is brilliant for confidence because personality is part of the dance.

👞 ISTD Tap thought of the day: rhythm is everywhere.
Listen for the washing machine, footsteps, a bouncing ball, or rain on a window.
Can your dancer clap the rhythm back?
Tap dancers learn to listen closely, count clearly, and turn sound into movement.
What sound would make the best beat?

🩰 Ballet idea for the holidays: choose a fairytale character and move like them. A royal walk, a careful tiptoe, a brave leap, or a magical turn. Ballet helps dancers use posture, control, and imagination together.
Which character would your dancer choose for their mini ballet story?

🦸 Every dancer has a superpower. Some remember steps quickly, some bring big energy, some have beautiful focus, and some make everyone smile.
Before the holiday begins, ask your dancer what their dance superpower is. Parents, you might see one they have not noticed yet.

☀️ Can you feel it? Summer holidays are getting closer. The best part is you can keep dancing anywhere, even without a studio. Try a tiny stretch each day, do a kitchen disco, practise a balance near a wall, or make a short freestyle to your favourite song. Small moves help keep skills strong.
Keep dancing, Jumpup family.

📸 We love seeing your proud moments. If you have a great photo from class, or even a Platinum snap you still smile about, tag Jumpup so we can celebrate with you. It’s amazing to look back and see progress, from first steps to confident performance faces.
Keep sharing the joy, it inspires other dancers too.
