Across 7 weeks, Coaches Ellie Brown and Carly O’Hara will guide you through the foundations of running; from technique and injury-prevention to pacing, motivation and building a routine that lasts.
You’ll learn, progress and laugh with a friendly group who are all starting the journey together. If you’re ready to feel fitter, happier and more confident in your running, hit the link in our bio to find out more and book.

Tomorrow is the big day… London Marathon 2026! 🏃♀️✨
We are so proud of our incredible Greenwich Runners taking on the 26.2 miles tomorrow — each with their own story, their own reason, and so much hard work behind them.
✨ Our boss and founder, Ellie Brown, will be running her 30th marathon, raising money for Evelina London Children’s Charity, giving back after they saved her son’s life in 2018 💛
✨ Becky H last ran London 5 years ago. The pain may be a distant memory, but the buzz and excitement from last year inspired her to go again!
✨ Annabel took on her very first London Marathon back in 1983 and has run it numerous times since. She secured her spot this year with a Good for Age place and will be running to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy every mile.
✨ Hanna joined after having her third child and is always ready for a new challenge. This will be her 9th marathon, showing her children that she can do hard things — the best way to inspire the next generation.
✨ Charli broke her ankle at the end of last year and has worked incredibly hard just to get to the start line. But nothing was going to stop her, running for Cure Parkinson’s, a charity that touched her life far earlier than expected.
✨ Becky W was one of the lucky ones to secure a ballot place, but as always will be running for Guide Dogs, a charity very close to her heart.
✨ Dr Kate ran her first marathon, London, in 2000, just 8 months after her son Aidan was born. Now, 26 years later, they’ll be running the 2026 London Marathon together, supporting Amos Trust, a human rights charity close to their hearts ❤️
✨ Sarah says motherhood showed her strength in a new way — running proves it. She’ll be proudly running for Cancer Research UK, every mile for loved ones who have faced it.
We wish every one of our runners the very best of luck tomorrow.
So many of our Greenwich Runners crew will be out on the course cheering — especially at our famous mile 7 cheer point 📣
We cannot wait to see those shiny medals 🏅

It’s feels apt that on marathon weekend our new beginners group took on their own challenge - the 5km.
The progress they have made in 7 weeks is just astonishing but totally deserved given the training they committed to. It was really wonderful to have them all cross the finish line and be so delighted with their achievement. 🤩
They are all keen to continue their running journey with the Greenwich Runners. 💛
May the successful running weekend continue

What a special way to kick off London Marathon week…
Our London Marathon Shake Out Run was all about soaking up the race-week excitement and exploring some of the most iconic points of the course.
It was brilliant to see so many runners proudly wearing marathon tops from previous years as we made our way to the Red Start in Greenwich Park, the home of Greenwich Runners. From there, we checked out mile 6, headed along the river to the iconic Cutty Sark (featured on this year’s finishers medal and designed to be the fastest ship of its time), and finished at our famous cheer point at mile 7, ready to bring the noise on race day. 📣🙌🏼
A huge good luck to all of our runners taking on the 26.2 miles this weekend… trust your training, enjoy every moment, and have the best day! ❤️
Come run with us every Thursday 7pm from Greenwich Market, free social run, everyone welcome, just turn up 👍
