Truro is Tropical!!

With the season looming please see our new Team Training time and location.

We still have some spots free for any players wanting to join.

In our Debut season we managed to go undefeated and win both the league and the playoffs, here's hoping the 25/26 season in the Cornwall Basketball Association - CBA

Due to the larger venue we can now accommodate more players.

Unfortunately due to the damage that the big winds did in Penryn earlier in the year. we will have to vacate our booking for the rets of 2025.

In positive news we have secured a booking at Truro College for a longer booking

Safe to say it has been a great season for us Tropics, we started unsure if we would even have the number to enter the league.

Boi have we had some up and downs but it’s been one of the most enjoyable teams to be apart of.

Next up is Tropics🌴 import ✈️

When he said he modelled himself on Ronaldo, no one thought it would have been this version.

With a bone structure RuPaul would be envious of and not a bit of fat anywhere to be seen, he has been dubbed the Tropics pretty boy (although the bar is set very low).

He’s a wannabe Cornishman masquerading, during the week, as a high flyer in the big smoke.....well Calne. Blink and you’ve missed him, the Whippet of Wiltshire, Sam Rogers.

Next up in the player signing series is a familiar face around Cornwall Basketball.

Once known as the human pogo stick, however, now his back is as fragile as rice paper, he's just the stick. Just the thought of picking up a bag has his back in spasms.

At a young age (as the home video suggests), his basketball skills left a lot to be desired. Some would argue that in his later years, he has come full circle.👀

For a long period, he believed the phrase 'I wanna be like Mike' referred to him and is often found regaling stories of this one dunk that gets wilder and wilder each time he tells it. Latest artistic licence has him catching the ball mid-air, stretching out of bounds, with his head at the top of the backboard!

He is the guy that always skips leg day, Falmouth legend, ye olde Chicken Legs himself, Mike Parsons.

Following on from the committee announcements is a literal BIG signing ✍️

Falmouth’s own knock off Ratatouille, he is often found cooking up a storm in the Rainbow kitchen with best friends Zippy and George, he's everyone's favourite big cuddly bear.

But don't let that cuteness fool you. If you get in his way in the paint, you will end up on your ass more times than Anthony Joshua.
