Waltham Forest Hockey Club

We’re proud to train the hockey team for Waltham Forest’s entry into the London Youth Games each year.

The competition is for those in Year 9 and below, taking place 4th & 5th July at .

Open trials will be taking place in June, to be eligible you need to either go to school in LBWF or live in the borough & players from all hockey clubs are welcome. A girls and boys squad of 10 will be chosen to take part (county players and above aren’t able to participate).

Summer hockey is back ☀️🏑 We’re taking part in the Redbridge league, with our women’s teams playing on a Tuesday evening & and men’s teams playing on a Thursday. Matches start next week, £7 match fee - sign up and pay via Spond.

Our social hockey season continues as well, with regular 10am Saturday morning mixed sessions at the Academy - free to members but guests welcome too 🙌

Legends at large! Huge well done to WFHC’s Phil for coming second with the Essex Masters O50’s team and Six who was part of the O35’s team who were recently crowned East Champions - congratulations ladies💪👏🤩

⭐️ Sammy & Rudy (U13’s) - came 5th in their tournament, with Rudy scoring and Sammy winning his team’s player of the tournament
🏆Jacob & Enzo (U14’s) - won their tournament and Jacob scored

Well done to all the Forest youth players who have been working hard and representing at county level this season 💪

Congratulations to the M2’s Oscar Hare who topped the Div 3 SE leaderboard as the season’s top goal scorer with a huge 28 goals and Mo Irfan who came in second in Div 2 with a cracking 18 goals! Honorary shout out as well to everyone else who got on the scoresheet, plenty of WFHC names in the top 25 across the divisions 💪

Congratulations to youth players Enzo and Ida who were our most recent Jack Petchey award winners. Both youngsters have made great contributions to their adult teams this season, growing in confidence and stature as the season progressed and making a positive contribution to club hockey. Each winner receives £300 to spend on youth hockey for the club. Well done to both and a big thanks to the for the continued support 🤩

Our legendary ABC course is back for 2026! Join us for four weeks of free hockey in Waltham Forest. Whether you’re new to the sport or returning after a break, it’s a judgement free environment to pick up a stick and give it a try 🏑

Defeats for our M3’s, W1’s & W3’s, who have all had tougher seasons but finish the season with positivity and enthusiasm intact 🙌
