went there.

Henry Pollock’s Instagram?

“Not that good.”

But her point was bigger.

Rugby notices the players who are unafraid. The ones who are unapologetically themselves.

And that debate isn’t going away.

Do we want more personality in the game, or are we still asking players to keep it tidy?

Comment your take.

Rugby is changing, and pretending social media doesn’t matter is naive.

Episode 6 is out now with Flo Williams. We talk player brands, authenticity, content, confidence and where the sport is heading.

For young players this is about more than followers. It’s about life skills, ownership and telling your own story.

THE NEXT STEP. 🔴⚪
Huge congratulations to Finlay on earning his place at Hartpury College đź‘Ź

From Sutton & Epsom RFC and Glyn School, through the Harlequins Academy and ERA, Finlay has built his pathway one step at a time.

“Without the support from ERA we wouldn’t have known about the ACE league and all the opportunities out there.” – Finlay’s dad

That’s what ERA is about: connecting players to the right pathway and helping them reach elite rugby.

Next stop: Hartpury. Go well, Finlay đź’Ş

PLAYER STORIES // 006
From Maidenhead RFC Iron Maidens Women and Girls to Reading Rugby Football Club, Lucy has been making waves since she picked up a rugby ball at 12. 🌟

A Berkshire U16 and U18 rep, part of the UR7s programme, and School Sports Captain and Sports Scholar at The Marist School (), Lucy’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.

Her season at ERA’s London West Academy set the stage for her next big step: selection for the RFU U18 PDG.

“Her selection was no surprise to me. She works hard and she deserves it.” – Nash Cohen, ERA Programme Director
Nothing worthwhile is easy. Follow her journey

Congratulations, Lucy! 🔥

PLAYER STORIES // 005

Holly. The step up.

Holly started at Ampthill RFC aged five, and it’s been her rugby home ever since. Through club and school she won cups, was named Player of the Year, finished runners-up at Rosslyn Park, played in the National Cup and represented East Midlands U16s.

Wanting to take her game to the next level, she joined ERA’s Milton Keynes Academy, where she learned that what happens off the pitch matters as much as what happens on it.

Now she’s at Loughborough College on the ACE programme. She made her debut at fly half in a 47–5 win over SGS, and has just been selected for the England U18 PDG.

Congratulations, Holly. Enjoy the next chapter. 🔥

PLAYER STORIES // 004

Consistently is something we preach at ERA, it’s not always fun - it’s not always glamorous, but hard work, focus and discipline bring results.

Heidi started playing at Chingford RFC before moving to Eton Manor. Along the way, she won two Essex league titles with Eton Manor, represented Essex for two seasons and captained ERA’s U16 Girls North.

She graduated from ERA in 2026, earned her place at City of Oxford College’s Girls’ ACE programme and has already made her Oxford debut in the starting XV.

Well done, Heidi. Enjoy the results of your hard work and keep going! 🔥
