I help high-achieving professionals to ease work-related stress and prevent burnout without drastic lifestyle changes.
When we experience stress, our body releases cortisol. The natural counter to cortisol is DHEA, a hormone that is produced when we feel gratitude.
In essence, being grateful reduces stress. ππ
The 5 minutes rule. π
Many people tend to overthink every choice they face.
This matters because achieving a happy life involves making fewer poor decisions that hinder our progress.
β
οΈ Consider The 5-Minute Rule:
If itβs not a significant life choice, limit your decision-making time to 5 minutes.
β
οΈ Though it may seem minor, small hinges swing big doors.
β
οΈ The quicker you make decisions, the faster you can move forward. The faster you move forward, the more you can achieve simultaneously.
β
οΈ Thereβs an added benefit to this simple rule:Making more decisions can boost your happiness.
β
οΈYou start developing decisiveness, which propels your life forward more than anything else.
β
οΈ So, the next time you need to decide, do it within 5 minutes.
Youβll feel much better for it.
"You will never find time for anything.
If you want time, you must make it.β

Did you know that stress can be contagious?
Just like catching a cold, we can "catch" stress from those around us.
This phenomenon is known as second-hand stress.
What is Second-Hand Stress?
Second-hand stress occurs when we absorb the stress and anxiety of others. Whether it's a colleague's tight deadline, a friend's personal struggles, or a family member's worries, their stress can impact our own mental and physical well-being.
Here are some examples:
1. Workplace Stress:
If your colleagues are constantly stressed about deadlines or work pressure, you might start feeling anxious and overwhelmed even if your own workload is manageable.
2. Family Stress:
Living with a family member who is going through a tough time, such as job loss or health issues, can cause you to feel stressed and anxious.
3. Social Media:
Constantly seeing friends or influencers sharing their stressful experiences or negative news can lead to feelings of stress and anxiety.
4. Healthcare Workers:
Medical professionals often experience second-hand stress from dealing with patients' trauma and distressing situations.
5. Witnessing Traumatic Events:
Seeing an accident or hearing about a traumatic event can cause you to feel stressed, even if you were not directly involved.
6. Customer Service Roles:
Employees in customer-facing roles may absorb stress from dealing with upset or angry customers.
Do any of these examples resonate with you?
It's important to recognize when this is happening and take steps to manage it.
Setting boundaries, practicing mindfulness, and making sure you have time for self-care can really help.
It's all about protecting your own well-being while still being supportive to others.
