Biscuits & chocolate to some people.

Or, in the moment, they were my emotional support food and they served that purpose well.
The 'trick' was to know that I was buying them and eating them because I wasn't feeling hormonally great.

Hindsight would chastise me, but who looks backwards when there's so much going on ahead. Yeah everyone!!

Now I know when my hormones have gone crazy, I can buy some support but maybe better to ask someone for help or an ear to listen.

Fitting your fitness in can be a drag. It's time consuming and possibly doesn't come high on your list of priorities.

The kicker is that it is super important for a long, mobile and independent life. Tomorrow is too late and as you know, tomorrow never comes, it is always today and now.

We are lucky to have this many choices of fruits and vegetables.
Farmers everywhere work hard to get food to your table (often screwed over by supermarkets)
Counting the portions of fruit and vegetables that you eat is robotic
Enjoying the food in front of you is human.
Eat colourful and tasty!

The reason I shared this technique….

Stress is not bad, it’s human, but dealing with stress is a skill requiring a load of techniques.
Here is one, which I call the breathing ring.

Watch the ring expand and contract and allow your breathing to follow the same rhythm. Regulating our breathing is a technique for relaxing, when relaxed we can respond to stressful situations with calm and clarity.
Benefits of using the breathing ring…
Gives you a few seconds to reflect on the situation
Reduces cortisone
Reduces adrenaline
Reframe emotions
Helps you make better decisions
