Pro Am preparation well under way for tomorrow. South Herts will host our annual Pro Am for the 38th time with 53 teams competing.

The first evening of Captain’s Weekend has arrived.

Tonight with kick off with Mixed Greensomes - played over 9 holes, followed by a 4 player team competition all day Saturday (including 16 on course prizes) and then a Stableford competition on Sunday.

We also have a competition running over the entire weekend on the Rees Course, players can play either or both days.

The weekend will conclude on Sunday evening with a Long Drive competition from the 1st tee and followed by the prize presentation for Saturday and Sunday winners.

Congratulations to Tony Wilkins (Harpenden Common Golf Club) winner of the Dai Rees Bowl (Gross) & Darren Wickins (Orsett Golf Club Ltd⛳️) winner of the Harry Vardon Cup (Net) at the South Herts 36 Hole Open on Saturday. Both winners are pictured by Club President, Dec Lynch. We also wish to thank all competitors who played in the full field throughout Saturday and very much look forward to welcoming you back in 2027.

Congratulations to Liz and James, who after 36 holes today were crowned Women’s Champion and Club Champion for 2026.

Congratulations to the Men’s Team, who on Monday successfully defended their Four Herts Millennium Chalice title at West Herts Golf Club. Look forward to making it three in a row next May at Mid Herts.

A busy day for the Greens Team. All greens on the Vardon course were scarified, blown clean, deep spiked, hollow cored, cores all cleared, heavy sand dressing followed by matting into the holes. The team will sleep well tonight
