That smell🌸
That smell that reminds you of a particular point in your childhood, or a special moment, or an environment.
That smell that brings you back that feeling.🌸
The sense of smell bypasses the thinking mind, and has direct connection with the limbic brain which is responsible for emotions, memory and survival instinct, and opens up the meditative brain.🌸
It is linked to the Root Chakra, Muladhara, and brings awareness into your body and helps you be truly present. 🌸
That’s the power of the sense of smell. 🌸

For me “letting go “ is the most difficult part of my yoga journey and life in general.
Letting go
~ of the expectation that I should be certain way
~ of people that don’t contribute positively or drain my energy
~ of limiting beliefs that holds me back.
~
But the transformation i’m experiencing as soon as I let go of even just a bit, is so noticeable that I can feel it physically. Living yoga gives me the energy I need to let go.
It is a continuous practice, but gets easier. I hope so! 😆

Yoga helps me move through difficult emotions not by covering or denying them but by feeling and allowing to be whatever it is. ⠀
Many of us tend to store unprocessed emotions in the hip region. And poses like this one, helps us release and process these emotions, finding forgiveness, and understanding the root of my emotions.⠀

For me Yoga is not about how advanced yogi you become in terms of the type of poses you can do. (what is advanced yogi anyway).
For me yoga is an inner journey, a journey of healing, a journey of being present honouring everything that happens.

To practice this pose, Ardha baddha padmottanasana, I require great balance and focus, ignoring my ego and listening to my body and emotions instead.
This is why I love yoga, as yoga teaches me to listen to my body and emotions, both are so wise! To be able to stop and acknowledge where I am at, accept and breathe. To feel alive.

Ardha baddha padmottanasana is a combination of half lotus pose, ardha padmottanasana, and standing forward bend pose, uttanasana.
