I realised something recently. 😬😬
My mood wasn’t random.
It was directly linked to how I started my mornings.
Scrolling first thing?
Instant comparison.
Lost time.
Rushed energy.
And then I’d skip my run because “something more important” came up.
But the truth?
Nothing is more important than how you feel in your own body.
Building this routine isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being intentional.
Meditation instead of mindless scrolling.
A short run to reset my nervous system.
Getting dressed properly even when I work from home.
Fueling myself with food that supports me.
By 9am, I’ve already kept promises to myself.
And for someone who loves ticking off tasks…
that changes everything.
If your mornings feel chaotic lately, maybe don’t change your whole life.
Just change the first 10 minutes.
Save this as a reminder.
I thought burnout only happened to people who were struggling.
Turns out… it also happens to people who are constantly achieving.
For years, I built a life that looked ambitious. Productive. Impressive.
And I was proud of that.
But underneath the goals and growth, there was always this quiet pressure to keep going. To add more. To stay ahead.
Moving to South Africa was supposed to be my reset.
Slower mornings. More presence. A softer rhythm.
Instead, I rebuilt the same fast-paced life… just in a prettier location.
The truth?
You can be driven and still be disconnected.
You can be successful and still be exhausted.
You can “have it all” and still crave peace.
This series is me choosing alignment over adrenaline.
Building routines that support my nervous system.
Keeping ambition, but releasing chaos.
Creating a life I actually enjoy living, not just one that looks good online.
If this resonates, save this.
If you’ve gotten this far leave me a 💗 in the comments
and tell me — are you building a life that feels good, or just one that looks good?

For a long time, I believed strength meant staying in motion.
Pushing through. Staying busy. Keeping it all together no matter what was happening underneath.
I wore “I can handle it” like armour.
Being the one who coped. Who didn’t crack. Who kept going, even when rest or honesty might’ve been the wiser choice.
It turned into a rhythm that felt familiar.
All-in. Then exhausted.
A brief pause.
Straight back into the same momentum.
Nothing dramatic stopped it.
Just a quiet realisation that this pace was costing me more than it was giving.
I started to see that constant pressure isn’t power.
That always being “fine” isn’t resilience.
And that slowing down doesn’t mean losing yourself.
Lately, strength has looked different.
Listening instead of forcing.
Letting feelings exist instead of outrunning them.
Choosing movement, food, and company that actually support the nervous system I’m living in.
This season feels calmer, but not smaller.
More intentional.
More aligned with who I’m becoming rather than who I thought I had to be.
The fire is still there.
It’s just steadier now.
Rooted. Aware. Moving with purpose.
I’m sharing this not as a destination, but as a process.
Because if you’re sensing a similar shift…
you’re not falling behind.
You’re evolving 🤍
Save it and give it a try! The burn is unreal 🔥🔥🔥

Yesterday I made some new friends! 🦒🦒🦒
Betty is 23 year old giraffe and has been living in giraffe centre the longest, she has just became a mom and loves to cuddle!
Giraffes are such an amazing creatures! They are intelligent, they are glamorous (maybe not when drinking water 😂) and they always fascinated me. It is said that giraffe is a cross between camel and leopard, I mean you can see where it comes from really 😅.
I’ve been wanting to come here for quite some time now and finally have done it! Another tick ✅ on my bucket list!
Forever grateful for the opportunity to travel, experience different things and cultures and see the beautiful world we live in! 🥹❤️🦒

Thank you Watamu for such an amazing experience! Time to say bye for now but I will be back for sure! 👀❤️
