Before I work with anyone, I ask them to complete a health appraisal that covers 12 areas of function, from gut health and sleep to hormonal balance and cardiovascular health.

Not because I need to tick boxes. Because how you breathe, how you sleep and what you eat directly affects how your deep stabilising system works. Ignore those things, and you're building on unstable ground.

I've been a movement specialist for over two decades. I spent my early twenties as a professional ballet dancer. I've worked alongside GPs, physiotherapists and cardiologists. And the thing I keep coming back to is this: the body doesn't work in isolated parts. Neither should the programme.

If you've tried exercise before and it hasn't stuck, or hasn't helped, it might not be you. It might be the approach.

That pain in your lower back is trying to tell you something.

Most of the time it has a cause. The way you sit, the way you load one side of your body, a movement pattern that's been compensating for something for years. Those things can be identified and changed.

If your back has been a persistent problem and you've been told to just rest, stretch or push through, there's usually more that can be done.

I work one-to-one with adults in London. Details in my bio.

Not a session. Not a workout. Just Tuesday. 🖤

Most people know they should move more. That's not usually the problem.

More of the wrong kind of movement doesn't always help and can sometimes make things worse. Someone with a long-standing postural pattern doesn't need to walk further. Someone recovering from surgery doesn't need to push harder. Someone with a stiff lower back from years at a desk doesn't need a high-intensity class.

What they need is to move better. That's a different question entirely, and it's the one I work with every day.

I work one-to-one with adults in London. If you've been doing the right things and still not feeling better, I'd be happy to talk.

Details in my bio.

Clinical treatment does essential work. But there's often a gap between what happens in a hospital or clinic, and the consistent, personalised support that helps someone truly recover their movement and strength.

I work in that gap.

I take referrals from GPs, physiotherapists, osteopaths and other healthcare professionals for patients who need support with rebuilding strength after injury, regaining confidence following surgery, improving posture, managing chronic stiffness, or restoring balance and coordination as they age.

Sessions take place in person in London. I begin by observing how a patient moves in their home environment, then introduce focused corrective and strengthening work at a pace that's right for them.

If you'd like to discuss a referral, feel free to get in touch. My details are in my bio, or you can find more information at tanyawyatt.com.

This isn't about looking a certain way or keeping up with people half your age.

It's about staying capable. Staying independent. Feeling confident that your body will do what you ask of it.

The good news is that the body responds to movement at any age, often more readily than people expect. Swipe through to understand what's actually changing as we get older, and why the right kind of movement makes such a significant difference.

I work with adults across London who want to stay active, steady and strong as they age. Sessions are gentle, precise and built around you.

If you'd like to know more, I'd love to hear from you. Details in my bio.

Head forward. Shoulders rounded. Lower back is doing absolutely nothing. One leg tucked under you in a position that made sense three hours ago and definitely does not make sense now.

Your spine has opinions about this. It is not sharing them yet. It will share them on Monday morning when you try to stand up quickly.

Enjoy your weekend. Maybe just shift position once in a while.

(And if Monday mornings have started to feel a little too familiar — I work one-to-one with adults in London who'd like to change that. Link in bio.)

By Friday afternoon, a lot of my London clients describe the same thing. A low-level ache that wasn't there on Monday. Shoulders that have crept up towards their ears. A general tightness that makes them want to lie flat and not move until Sunday.

This isn't weakness. It's accumulation.

Your body absorbs a week's worth of sitting, commuting, carrying and compensating. By Friday, it starts to run out of ways to quietly manage it.

The good news is that the body responds well when you give it the right attention. A few targeted movements, done consistently, can change how you feel across the whole week, not just on the days you do them.

I work one-to-one with adults in London to address exactly this kind of pattern. Sessions are in person and built around where you are right now.

Details are in my bio.

A lot of the people I work with in London have a complicated relationship with conventional fitness. They've been put off by high-intensity classes, intimidated by gyms, or told they should "just do more exercise" without being shown what that actually means for their body.

My approach is different.

I work one-to-one, in person, building strength through controlled, functional movements — the kind that translate into everyday life. Getting up from the floor with ease. Carrying shopping without strain. Climbing stairs without your knees complaining.

No gym membership required. No pain. Just steady, sustainable progress.

If this sounds like what you've been looking for, there's a link in my bio.
