Interclub, Team Kata and 🇬🇧 England vs Wales at Ashford Kyokushin Karate Toukon Ryu Dojo. Thank you to Shihan Paul Cheesman for this event which gave so many new students the opportunity to experience stepping on the tatami for the first time. The whole event was managed with precision as there was a lot to get through. It was great to experience the collaboration of different affiliations, how everyone helped to make it run smoothly, 1 Kyokushin. All competitors showed true Kyokushin Spirit and remained humble. I am particularly proud of the Phoenix team who stepped forward to support us and their fellow team mates. Not forgetting the parents who gave their support also, you are also part of our small family. Osu..!

We are very proud of all our students as they all do their best to learn about themselves in what they can achieve. They are slowly learning what it means to be Kyokushin, that its not just about learning self-defence and fighting techniques, its the attitude towards others and life and how to cope under pressure and facing ones fears. We have a busy 2026, can't wait to see what the New Year will bring..

2nd Annual Phoenix Kyokushin Karate BBQ. We were so lucky with the weather which made the day even better. Thank you to all who came and contributed to the food and drinks. It was an amazing day relaxed amongst friends and family. Plenty of celebrations, presentations and farewells which without you it wouldn't be the same. Special mention to Dayong and family who are leaving us, such is life as their wonderful daughter has been accepted at prestigious Hanrietta Barnet Grammer School. A double promotion for young Vincent, you are amazing and you will be missed. Last but not least we celebrated Sensei Rolands birthday again.. and a big thank you to Sharon for your help as usual, your a superstar. Until next year.. Osu.!
