As a busy working mum, industry events are one of my favourite ways to stay on top of what’s changing in my field.
This time, it was all about how AI is changing post-sales roles at a Women of Customer Success event, hosted by Canva UK
A chance to learn how AI is impacting our industry and how to make the most of it. It was great to exchange ideas and connect with familiar and new faces.

Back-to-school comes with so much to remember: school dates, activities, appointments, admin, work… and everything in between. 😅
I’ve learnt that I need systems, not more things to keep in my head.
Here’s the simple system I use to reduce the mental load, feel less overwhelmed and create more space for what matters.

What helps you stay on top of everything?

The summer moment I didn’t know I needed before back-to-school mode.
Notting Hill Carnival was the perfect way to end the summer holidays. ❤️
Good music, good friends and a little time to just be me before the September routines kicked in.
Now… back to reality 😊

Coming back with my children and showing them where my story began made this family holiday feel particularly special.
I was born in Gabon, raised in France and now living in the UK. It’s important to me that my kids know all the cultures that are part of who they are and like me, grow up as global citizens.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is pause. Before my reset, I had been procrastinating on a few projects.
So I gave myself permission to slow down.
I walked. I visited museums. I created. I rested.
When I came back home, I had more energy, more clarity, and new ideas.
Most importantly, I finally felt motivated to start implementing the projects I had been putting off.

That reminded me that taking a break doesn’t slow you down. Sometimes, it’s exactly what helps you move forward.

Have you ever noticed that your best ideas come when you finally slow down?

My 10-day reset in Paris gave me more than I expected. I came home with more clarity than I expected.
It helped me realise how much I had been carrying.
It gave me the space to think.

It helped me reconnect with myself; not just as a working mum or a professional, but as someone who enjoys creativity, learning and trying new things.

Sometimes we’re so busy looking after everyone else that we forget to make space for ourselves.

It reminded me that slowing down is about creating the space to reconnect with who you are.

When was the last time you gave yourself the space to slow down?

This month, I took 10 days reset in Paris. I needed the space to slow down, think and reconnect with myself.
I came home with more than beautiful memories. I came home with more clarity.

Here are the 6 lessons I’m bringing back with me:
1. Slowing down showed me how much I’d been carrying.
Sometimes, you don’t realise the weight of your mental load until you finally slow down.

2. Taking a break helped me reconnect with myself.
It gave me space to reconnect with my interests, my goals, my creativity and not just my to-do list.

3. Taking time for myself gave me more energy and motivation.
I came home feeling refreshed, motivated and excited to pursue my goals. Sometimes, stepping away is exactly what helps you move forward.

4. Taking a step back helped me create better systems.
Stepping away gave me the time to rethink my routines and build systems that can make everyday life feel lighter.

5. Simple moments matter more than we think.
A slow coffee, a walk, a museum, a good book; they reminded me that not every moment has to be productive to be worth it.

6. Stepping back gave me clarity on what’s next.
It gave me the time to think about my next career move, my priorities and where I want to focus my energy moving forward.

Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing each lesson in more detail and how I’m bringing it into my everyday life as a working mum.

The past few weeks have been full. Full of learning, meaningful conversations, new connections, family moments, and making time to look after myself.
• Co-hosting an event on women’s mental load at Deloitte.
• Learning from experts in health, wellbeing and longevity at Healf event.
• Having inspiring conversations about AI and the future of work with Piers Linney and Aalok Yashwant Shukla from Implement AI.
• Celebrating my son’s 12th birthday.
• Prioritising my wellbeing, even in a busy season.

I believe that building work-life harmony :
It’s about staying curious.
Investing in yourself.
Building meaningful relationships.
Being present with the people you love.
And protecting your wellbeing while you pursue your ambitions.

That’s the kind of life I’m intentionally building.

What have you been intentionally making space for lately?

A little weekend reminder: Make time for something that brings you joy;
- a coffee in the sun
- a walk
- a good book
- a gym class
- dancing around your kitchen

It doesn’t have to be big.

Intentional living is choosing what matters most.

Happy weekend!

How much of your day is spent doing work that nobody sees?

The planning.
The organising.
The remembering.
The coordinating.
The emotional labour.

So many women carry these invisible responsibilities every day, yet we rarely talk about the impact they have on our wellbeing, careers, finances, and relationships.

That’s one of the reasons I am excited to be organising our upcoming WIT Network event with Sam Bramwell on The Six Invisible Labour Pillars.

We’ll be exploring the hidden mental load many women carry and sharing practical strategies for navigating it more intentionally.

If this resonates with you, I would love for you to join us.

Date: Wednesday 17 June
Location: Deloitte, London
