At 84 years old, Anne M. Jones cycled Alpe d’Huez for Palestine.
Our team took on the mountain’s 21 turns with Anne to help raise £21,000 in aid of Gaza.

Gaza Sunbirds
We’re a paracycling team in Gaza, using all our resources to deliver aid
Many young Palestinians lost limbs during the war on Gaza. Some were able to travel to Egypt for treatment.
Through sport, community, and resilience, Gaza Sunbirds in Egypt was born.
With limited resources but strong determination, we’ve grown step by step and now compete internationally.
If this story speaks to you, share it and help us reach people and organizations who can support this journey.
Race mornings look a little different for us.
Before the training, nerves, and competition, the day starts with a traditional Palestinian breakfast
For the whole team, these small rituals are more than routine; they’re a reminder of home, identity, and the roots we carry with us everywhere we go.

Would you say the mic was working?
During our meeting with the new coach, we felt rather playful.
These are signs of excitement and joy to be on the path back to cycling!
We were forced to stop walking.
So we chose to race.
Our goal is to bring Team Palestine to the Paralympic in Los Angeles 2028. It’s a chance to tell the world we exist and show what is possible when our nation comes together
every kilometer is part of something bigger than sport. It is about representation, visibility, and raising the Palestinian flag with pride.
Follow our journey and help us show the world what Palestinian para-athletes can achieve.
30 minutes before the race, the focus is physical.
1 minute before the race, everything becomes mental.
The thoughts get deeper. The emotions get louder. And the reason behind every mile becomes clear.
We race for Palestine.
For every Palestinian whose voice deserves to be heard.
Follow our journey as we pave our way to the LA Paralympics 2028, and find ways to support on our page.
This Eid, while families gather around the world, many Palestinians remain far from home, carrying the weight of loved ones constantly on their minds.
For us, the pain of what’s happening back home never leaves. But neither does our determination.
We continue to ride, compete, and represent Palestine with one dream in mind: reaching the LA Paralympics in 2028.
And now, we’re looking for the next athlete to join that journey.
Powered by sport. Driven by hope.
KLABU and The Gaza Sunbirds come together through a shared belief in the ability of sport to connect people, create opportunity, and carry stories far beyond borders.
Our athletes raced as Team Palestine last month in the UCI Para-cycling World Cup Round 2 proudly wearing their KLABU jerseys.
From Gaza to the rest of the world, the journey continues.

From Gaza to Cannes.
Gaza lives on.
Palestine lives on.
In honour of our visit to Pinerolo, we were invited to the City Hall for a speech from the Mayor Luca Salvai where he condemned the violence of the occupation and the Italian governments continued inaction. We need more places like Pinerolo standing with Palestine, and with every race we hope to build more bridges 🇵🇸 Gracie Pinerolo
