Hello team. I’m making a documentary about my father Sam Kydd. If anyone has any stories about having met him or what he meant to them as a child or what they think of him as an actor or how they made him feel could you tell me? The excellent James Byrne has given me his insights. My problem is that I’m the most informed person obviously about him but the film is going to be a bit dull if it’s just me rabbiting on. Me and the lovely Mike Grady at Voices Studio in Soho where I’d just directed the docudrama The President and the Emperor (about Truman and Hirohito) and he was in it! Great fun and Mike immaculate as always. 💕

Went to see ‘The Last Laugh’ at Richmond. Very funny indeed. The marvellous Bob Golding was a brilliant Eric Morecambe. We did various voices in ‘Noddy Toyland Detective’ together an eternity ago. We selfied! 💖

Our new baby. April and I have called her Elsie. Utterly joyous to have another one. I am of course completely exhausted.

Did a promo for Film 4 at Channel 4 yesterday. Always a joy to actually go into a studio and work with engineers and producers. Always feel I can give more in that environment rather than down the line! 💖

I’m ’launching’ the second volume of my dad’s memoirs ‘Never Mind the Acting Just Say the Words’ and at the same time mentioning my book about acting/voicing ‘Go Quicker Sound Slower’.
There’ll be a few vids, of stuff my dad did (and some stuff that I have done) and I’ll be talking about his career and bits of mine and it’ll be possible to buy the books and my dad’s other ones ‘For You the War is Over’ and ‘Be a Good Boy Sam’ if you were so inclined.
