QMUL Golf Club provides the opportunity for both serious and social golfers to practice and enjoy their golf in a relaxed environment. We have everything from low single digit handicappers up to higher handicappers, which creates a competitive environment to play in. Coaching is available for newcomers to the game, with great facilities on-site; particular emphasis on golfing technique, rules and
etiquette. Experienced players have the opportunity to play in the prestigious BUCS Championship with the Mixed 1st Team. Our home course is Wanstead Golf Club which is only a 15 minutes journey away via the tube. The course is a challenging 18 holes, set in beautiful parkland, bordered by Wanstead Park and the lower reaches of Epping Forest yet only a few miles from Docklands and the City of London. The club is one of the premier courses in Essex, and hosts some of the best golfers in the area; with the scratch team being multiple winners of ‘The Thornton Cup’ (Essex’s Premier Club Competition). Denis Pugh was a one-time Pro at Wanstead, and seasoned professional Simon Khan played his junior golf here - this just demonstrates the high calibre that Wanstead has to offer! We host socials at ‘TopGolf - Chigwell’ and fortnightly inter-university tournaments at ‘Urban Golf - High Street Kensington’ (an affiliate clubhouse where we play on state of the art 'aboutgolf' simulators).
