What a weekend for our Surrey 10U girls and boys! 🎾 As always, what makes us most proud is seeing the smiles, team spirit and enjoyment shared by all of the players throughout the event. That is what County Cup is all about!
A huge congratulations to our girls, who battled brilliantly throughout the weekend to be crowned National Champions!
Our boys also put in an incredible performance, fighting hard to secure a fantastic second-place finish. An amazing achievement by both teams, and one that everyone involved should be immensely proud of.
Thank you to all of our players, captains, parents and support teams who helped make the weekend so special. LET’S GO SURREY! 💪🎾

Surrey’s Lucca Strack has spent the past year serving as an LTA Young Person’s Welfare Ambassador with Tennis in Merton, one of a select number of venues chosen to deliver the programme. The role helps promote safeguarding and positive experiences within tennis, giving young people a voice in shaping safe and welcoming environments across the sport.
Through the programme, Lucca developed his leadership and communication skills, worked alongside welfare officers, completed specialist training and helped create a safe, welcoming environment for younger players. The experience has also supported him beyond tennis, with Lucca recently being accepted onto a volunteering programme at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where his ambassador role helped strengthen his application.
A huge congratulations to Lucca on his commitment, enthusiasm and the positive impact he continues to make both on and off the court. 🎾
We’ll be sharing more about Lucca’s journey and the Young Person’s Welfare Ambassador programme in the next edition of the Surrey Tennis Quarterly.
