After 4 seasons in the second tier a joyous celebration BVB were promoted winning a two legged playoff (1-0, 3-2) on 15/6, and 23/6, against 1 FC Nuremberg.

Centre-forward Alfons Sikora fulfilled a dream by joining the club he had always supported, BVB, from VfB Altena in season 71/72.

In this interview Sikora, who went on to play for Rot-Weiss Essen and 1 FC Mulheim, scoring 44 goals in 117 professional appearances, tells the story of that intriguing era of our club’s history, how the building of the Westfalenstadion was the catalyst for success, and the journey to promotion:

Waldermar, Maxi, Nico and Felix are in the selection and Dortmund Fan Club London 2013 meet at Temperance Bar Fulham High Street for the games.

Radu the manager has organised Bratwurst, also vege option, Sauerkraut, Kartoffelsalat for a tenner plus 10% off all drinks for 🇩🇪 fans.
