Another throwback to July last year! (I feel like 2026 is almost catching up with my throwbacks because I am so slow 🥲)

About a year ago a client messaged me this. Motivation comes and goes for all of us, but sometimes we tend to think only us truly struggle with it - we go to the gym, look around and see people that go day after day without missing a single workout and it makes us wonder “what the heck is motivating them to keep going?” and “where do I find this motivation?”. The truth is, YOU DON’T. People that get results, get results because they train on the days they’re motivated, but also on the days they’re not. It’s the consistency that matters, and consistency doesn’t care about motivation.
Of course personality, specific health conditions, neurodiversity, mental health, priorities, past experiences and many other factors will help someone being more disciplined, or on the contrary, struggle with sticking to a routine, but at the end of the day, “motivation” is (sadly) something we can’t magically find.
So here are my tips on how to stay consistent and try to find the motivation within you. It’s a long reply and with a fair share of grammatical errors, but I hope it can help you if you’re going through the same 😘
