Well done to the team at the London open last weekend.
On the Saturday we had our minors, pre cadets and cadets in action showing their continued improvement and working well in each contest. You are showing the hard work is paying off, the players who are working with us multiple days a week are demonstrating strong technical ability.
On Sunday Sensei Beth and Jordann competed in their respective weight categories in the senior womenโs group both earning wins and taking well deserved bronze medals and more GB Ranking points. Well done ladies.
Well done to Sensei Beth, Iris and Finley who also all officiated at the weekend once again supporting the London area events with great professionalism. Working towards to their next qualification as officials. Also a great job from Ellie working in medical.

London Youth Games 2026
It was an extremely solid effort from all competitors. This year we had players from 3 of our clubs representing 5 different boroughs and you all did your clubs and borough proud! Too many amazing performances to talk about but just know our entire coaching team are extremely proud of you all.
Havering took the overall win for boys and girls with 4 of our clubs players being apart of the winning borough earning 3 golds and one bronze medal respectively from Joe, Kasjan, Gabrielle and Adel all contributing to the the boroughs final standings.
It was a 2nd place finish this time for B&D boys team, much lower on numbers this year due to entry criteria changing however all players worked extremely hard to dig deep and get wins overall. Winning it in 2023 and 2025 and staying in the top 2 boroughs consistently for the past 4 years is a huge achievement, are so proud of you!
Our clubs players earned 23 individual medals which is very impressive!
We also provided a large number of officials and referees this year; well done Ramy, Regi, Alex, Annabelle, Ryan, Iris and Finley who supported in the running of the event!
Thank you to Ellie & Jordann who put in a shift supporting sensei Calvin, Beth & Ricky to coach the big team.
And finally a huge thank you to our parents and carers who came to support the judoka your support for everyone does not go unnoticed!
