Huge well done to our team who competed last weekend at the High Wycombe Veterans Open

Dominic worked his way to the gold medal match in the veteran menโ€™s u100kg M2 category with some nice wins using techniques heโ€™s working including a nice clock strangle. Dom eventually finished with a well earned silver medal in his 5th event of the year ๐Ÿฅˆ

Alex kept up the theme of the day with a beautiful Sode jime strangle and also earned himself a silver medal in the veteran menโ€™s u81kg category and a fantastic 10 more points towards his black belt ๐Ÿฅˆ

Dean who is only 59kg too on the u66โ€™s and u73โ€™s where he met a very experienced 4x BJJ champion in his first contest who he lost to before beating the u73kg player with a lovely seoi nage Ko uchi gake combination and fished with a well earned silver medal ๐Ÿฅˆ

Lastly Sensei Calvin fought in a mixed u66/ u73kg group where he won all of his contests with a nice mix of standing and ground work to earn the gold medal ๐Ÿฅ‡

Well done to Sensei Beth who officiated at the event. Thank you .leflock for being supporter of the day cheering us all on throughout the day!

Thank you to for another great event. See you next year.

Huge congratulations to Kasjan who competed in the Ippon Trophy Tournament Antwerp, Belgium.

Kasjan showed great development and expressive judo as he worked his way to the semi final through his opponents with a range of forwards and backwards throws including some lovely Ashi waza. Kasjan lost out in the semi on a small yuko score finishing with a very well earned Bronze medal for his effort ๐Ÿฅ‰

We are so proud of you keep up the fantastic work!

Well done to the team at the London open last weekend.

On the Saturday we had our minors, pre cadets and cadets in action showing their continued improvement and working well in each contest. You are showing the hard work is paying off, the players who are working with us multiple days a week are demonstrating strong technical ability.

On Sunday Sensei Beth and Jordann competed in their respective weight categories in the senior womenโ€™s group both earning wins and taking well deserved bronze medals and more GB Ranking points. Well done ladies.

Well done to Sensei Beth, Iris and Finley who also all officiated at the weekend once again supporting the London area events with great professionalism. Working towards to their next qualification as officials. Also a great job from Ellie working in medical.

Well done everyone we are extremely proud of the progress and development. Big thanks to our supportive teammates and parents who also supported on the day. Keep up the hard work! ๐Ÿ˜Š

London Youth Games 2026

It was an extremely solid effort from all competitors. This year we had players from 3 of our clubs representing 5 different boroughs and you all did your clubs and borough proud! Too many amazing performances to talk about but just know our entire coaching team are extremely proud of you all.

Havering took the overall win for boys and girls with 4 of our clubs players being apart of the winning borough earning 3 golds and one bronze medal respectively from Joe, Kasjan, Gabrielle and Adel all contributing to the the boroughs final standings.

It was a 2nd place finish this time for B&D boys team, much lower on numbers this year due to entry criteria changing however all players worked extremely hard to dig deep and get wins overall. Winning it in 2023 and 2025 and staying in the top 2 boroughs consistently for the past 4 years is a huge achievement, are so proud of you!

Our clubs players earned 23 individual medals which is very impressive!

We also provided a large number of officials and referees this year; well done Ramy, Regi, Alex, Annabelle, Ryan, Iris and Finley who supported in the running of the event!

Thank you to Ellie & Jordann who put in a shift supporting sensei Calvin, Beth & Ricky to coach the big team.

And finally a huge thank you to our parents and carers who came to support the judoka your support for everyone does not go unnoticed!
