Hi all,
Our club activities rely on volunteers, and the membership have a fantastic track record of chipping in and sharing the workload.
One way to continue this is for members to become LiRF’s and then take further courses to become CIRF’s. We have members that already have these certifications and are keen to add more to our roster.
There is however a cost to this (where members have paid out of their own pocket for personal development). Another option is the requirement to put forward a ‘business case’ to the board outlining the planned use of this certification to contribute to regular / future club activities. Please get in touch if you have any questions on [email protected].
If you’re interested in our new online Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) course then don’t forget to register your interest using the following link: https://bit.ly/EALiRFinterestform
Once you’ve registered, we’ll send you an email alert when the courses are launched for online bookings. Please note, we’re currently delivering this course to the waiting list of candidates who had their bookings cancelled during the pandemic, after which we plan to launch course dates for general sign-up from January 2021.

We are proud to announce the launch of the
VPH 2020 London Marathon fundraising page, supporting "The Running Charity"
===
For 2020, VPH has decided to support a local charity The Running Charity, of which some of our club members already volunteer their time. The charity’s Programmes Coach Claude Umuhire came to visit the club to introduce the charity's roots and the work they do with young people who are affected by homelessness.
Some charities do not receive official fundraising places for the London Marathon, and rely on the goodwill of individuals who already have a race number to commit to representing them. We as a club, have a fantastic opportunity to stand behind a local initiative and pool our individual fundraising contributions. The modest donations from our collective networks would undoubtedly grow into a significant amount and have a meaningful impact for the charity.

Please share with your friends, family and work colleagues to donate and support our cause together. Every little helps. If you have any specific questions about the charity itself, do get in touch.

Well done to all the new runners who came down last night. Hope you all enjoyed it and that we'll see you again soon - especially anyone I persuaded to do Project V!

If it gets you running, great, but if you don't want to pay all that money, why not come along to your friendly local running club?
(And how lovely is the weather right now? Get out and run!)
Running is the hot new fitness trend – only now you pay for it
It’s ClassPass’s fastest growing category and Peloton is selling a $4,000 smart treadmill. How did it get so expensive to go for a jog?
