Sleep consultations, sleep training and night nannying

05/05/2026

I haven’t been on here for a while… but this felt too important not to speak about.
There’s been a lot of conversation recently around sleep advice and some of it is genuinely concerning!
This industry is completely unregulated. Which means anyone can give advice, regardless of whether it’s safe or evidence-based.
Right now, I’m working closely with a very vulnerable newborn. And situations like this are exactly why safe sleep guidance isn’t something we can be relaxed about.
It’s not just about what “works” it’s about what is safe.
Families deserve advice they can trust.

So ask yourself: Have you slept?
Have you eaten?
Have you had fresh air today?
I see it every week — parents thinking something is wrong with them, when actually they’re just exhausted.
When sleep improves, everything else starts to feel more manageable.
If today feels blue, be gentle.
And if sleep has been a struggle for a while, you don’t have to push through it alone.

So often parents come to me after trying something they’ve read online.. totally understandable when you’re exhausted and just want sleep.
But sleep isn’t one-size-fits-all, and sometimes those well-meant attempts actually make things harder to undo.
Getting it right the first time saves stress, tears and weeks of confusion. Support matters.

🌙 Warm, balanced & educational
Night lights can be helpful… but they’re not always harmless ✨
Like most things with baby sleep, it’s about how and when they’re used.
Swipe through for the pros ➡️ and the cons ➡️
And remember what works for one family won’t be right for another 🤍
If you’re unsure whether a night light is helping or hindering your little one’s sleep, you’re not alone.

With sleep deprivation comes the annoying ability to criticise how i look. I'm often asked what i do following the nights that i work. Normally my day is filled with cooking and preparing dinner for my son, a nap if i can manage it and i do like to go to tge gym. Today I'm having a long overdue haircut.

Happy New year everyone. A fresh walk in Cannizaro park Wimbledon today to blow the cobwebs away. Ive had a well needed rest over Christmas and I'm now refreshed and ready to start work tonight. Thank you to all of you for continuing to recommend me. Lets work together to make better sleep your priority in 2026.

Christmas dinner didn't go according to plan. There's so much pressure at this time of year, its important not to follow the influences of others and do what's right for you and your family.

I think we all get days where things don't go to plan.. But they are amlpified when you are tired. I refuse to let tiredness add to my stress. I'll admit it wasn't fun when i had people with Christmas road raging, swearing at me because they thought i was just parking in a non car parking space with my hazards on! However i did get out the car and explain to one very angry and stressed driver that i was sorry for my inconvenience in breaking down. She later came back and apologised. I smiled and said " no worries, happy Christmas!" 😂

Being a sleep consultant is q bit like being a detective at times. I have to try and work outnwhy a baby is waking for long periods in the night. I look at everything that may be causing wakings and sometimes ots not so obvious. It takes patience, resilience and perseverance to teach a little one to sleep through the night.

Thank you so much for all the lovely messages..
I’m going to try and build up my confidence to do more of these.
It’s not easy when you’re sleep deprived and don’t love whatyou see in the mirror… let alone on a screen
But your kindness really does help.
Definitely time for a little Christmas glow up!
