Eltham Bowling Club is a small friendly club of about 100 members situated in South East London, UK.
The 6 rinks are open every day throughout the season which runs from early April to around the end of September, depending on weather conditions.

Taking advantage of the not so glorious weather we are having at the moment, one of the ladies singles competion, first round matches. Close game with some exciting twist and turns.
Also in the photo is a group having a coaching sesion.
Lovely afternoon playing bowls in the sunshine - men versus the women and guess who won overall?
Why not come and join us? Coaching for new bowlers on Monday afternoons but other times can be arranged and roll ups 2-4 Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday.
Fridays 4-6 with a buffet supper afterwards.

Here’s what you can look forward to:
* Give lawn bowls a try!

Dress Code: Smart casual and flat shoes if you’re planning to bowl!
Timings:
* 3:30 PM - arrive if you’d like to play a game.
* 5:30 PM - join us for the buffet, drinks and socialising.

Prospective new bowlers and their second coaching session. They seem to really enjoying themselves and getting into their new hobby. And many rthanks to those members that helped out, encouraging them and making them feel welcome.

An excellent turnout for our opening day on Saturday 18th. Enjoyed by all and comments to how well the grounds had been looked after during the winter months. Well done to all involved. Everyone is now looking forward to a long and sunny summer.

Our first Open Day was well attended by prospective bowlers , over half signing up for coaching. We wish them every sucess on the start of their bowling journey. The day would not have been the sucess it was without the support of the members helping out and introducing people to the club.

Not long now! Only another week until the season starts in ernest! The members have been busy spring cleaning the clubhouse, tidying the grounds and getting the outside seating out of winter storage. It is all looking rather nice.
