🔹 Deep Hip & Hamstring Flexibility: Opening up into the full extension requires serious space in your hamstrings and groin, helping to release deep-seated tension.
🔹 Unshakeable Core & Leg Strength: Standing on one leg while lifting your entire body weight fires up your quadriceps, ankles, and deep stabilising core muscles.
🔹 Chest & Shoulder Opening: The bound arms create a massive stretch across your pectorals and the front of your shoulders, counteracting all that desk-sitting posture.

Today is ginger biscuit day so I am sharing my recipe for these Yorkshire ginger biscuits.
INGREDIENTS: 250g plain flour, half tsp bicarbonate soda, 1tbsp ground ginger, half tsp mixed spice, 125g unsalted butter chopped, 185g soft brown sugar, 60ml boiling water, 1tbsp golden syrup.
METHOD:
🍪Preheat oven 180 degrees C
🍪Sift flour, bicarb, spices. Add butter and sugar and rub with the fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs
🍪Pour the boiling water into a bowl and dissolve in the syrup. Add to the flour mix and form a dough
🍪Roll into small balls, place onto a baking tray, flatten slightly with your fingertips
🍪Bake for 15 mins

It’s not just a beautiful shape - it’s a powerful metaphor for finding stability while staying open to the world around us. 🧘♀️✨
Here is why I love it:
💜Deep Heart Opening: This pose gently stretches the chest, shoulders, and abdomen, inviting a sense of vulnerability and openness. It’s a wonderful way to counter the "hunched" feeling we often get from long days at the desk.
💜Total Body Awareness: It requires engagement from head to toe. You’re building strength in your standing leg, core, and back muscles while simultaneously lengthening the front of your body.
💜The Art of Focus: Balancing on one leg forces you into the present moment. When you find that drishti (gaze point) and connect to your breath, the mental chatter begins to quiet down.
💜Grace under Pressure: Just like in life, sometimes you wobble! Learning to find your center again after a slight stumble is part of the practice. It teaches us patience, resilience, and the beauty of meeting ourselves exactly where we are.
➡️Tip: If you're feeling a little wobbly today, try practicing near a wall for extra support until you feel steady. Remember, the pose isn't about reaching perfection - it’s about the journey of showing up on your mat.

🧘♂️ Happy World Meditation Day 🧘♀️
Meditation isn’t about stopping your thoughts or achieving a perfectly blank mind. It’s about becoming the observer. It’s the practice of rolling out a mat, closing your eyes, and creating a little bit of space between a stimulus and your reaction.
Whether your practice today is a 20-minute silent sit, a deep breath between meetings, or a mindful walk through the park - it all counts.
✨ A Quick Micro-Meditation for you:
1. Drop your shoulders away from your ears.
2. Unclench your jaw and soften the space between your brows.
3. Take a deep inhale for a count of 4... hold for 4... and exhale slowly for 6.
Notice how quickly the nervous system shifts when you just give it permission to slow down.
