Tired of the "desk slouch"? πŸ’»πŸš«

Reset your spine

Ultimate duo for your back health: Downdog + Cobra.

If you spend time sitting, at a desk or on a screen, these 2 poses are great for reversing the rounding forward/slouch.

How they work together:

🐍 Cobra:
Targets your middle/upper back and shoulders. Strengthens "anti-slump" muscles and opens your chest.

🐾 Downdog:
Acts as a full-body decompressor (yay). Lengthens your spine and opens tight shoulders that tend to round forward.

✨ The Reset:

Pause and breathe in Downdog for 3 to 5 breaths. And/or flow between Downdog and Cobra 3 times. Breathe deep into your chest in Cobra and reach your hips high in Downdog.

Stability isn’t about standing stillβ€”it’s about knowing where you're grounded, even when you sway πŸ‘£

🌳 Tree Pose/Vrksasana is the perfect place to grow your stability from the ground up.

Want to root your Tree? Try these 3 tips:

1️⃣ Find your 4 corners: Press into your big and little toe mounds, inner and outer heels - root standing foot deep into the ground.

2️⃣ Anchor your Centre: Reach your tailbone down to the ground and gently draw your lower belly in to stabilise your spine.

3️⃣ Create a Midline: Press your lifted foot into your leg, and your leg back into your foot to create a central trunk of strength.

✨ Have a play, it's OK to wobble, in fact the wobble is where the strengthening happens ✨

πŸ’‘ Micro-habit: Take this "roots down" feeling with you, whether you’re standing in line or at your deskβ€”root down to grow calm.

Have a play with your balance by practising Tree Pose for 5 minutes a day for the next 7 days. Notice how your stability shifts daily. Remember, swaying is part of the process.
