People learn at different speeds, and that’s fine.
Progress isn’t a race. What matters is understanding, not keeping up with someone else’s timeline.
We repeat fundamentals because they work, which brings empowerment when you realise the importance of simple things, done well.
Under fatigue and pressure, your body falls back on what it knows best. Repetition isn’t boring, it’s preparation.

The path to Black is not easy. 6 years (or longer if there is an global pandemic in the way..) so to celebrate her achievement Lise got all her belts out for us! Of course, having her training at Brixton Krav Maga is a massive boost to everyone there as she brings her energy and drive everywhere she goes in everything she does. Well done 💪👊👏!

Real confidence is quiet.
It shows up as calm decisions, controlled movement, and the ability to think clearly when things are uncomfortable. That’s what we train for.
One of the coolest things in the sea - the pint sized battleship that is the cuttlefish.
Realistic training doesn’t mean reckless training.
It means safe, controlled pressure that prepares you for uncertainty. Enough stress to learn, not so much that learning shuts down.

Feeling out of place at the start is normal.
Everyone here has felt it. Confidence doesn’t come from fitting in immediately, it comes from staying long enough to realise you always belonged.
Simple techniques survive pressure.
Complicated ones usually don’t. That’s why we spend so much time refining fundamentals. When things speed up, clarity matters more than complexity.

You don’t need to get fit before you start training.
Training is what builds fitness, resilience, and confidence over time. Turning up as you are is enough. Everything else develops from there.
