Semi-finals here we gooooooo 🔥🔥🔥🔥

East End Academy 2 - 1 Crimson Forest

A tough battle today saw us play our way into the semi-finals with a fantastic all round team performance. Crimson opened the scoring with a brilliantly taken corner. We then dug deep as a team to come back, with battles all over the pitch seeing us even the scoring with excellent link up from Farha and Klesha at the attacking end. In the second half we settled into our game plan, and with pressure building put us in front with a fantastic run into the box and cool finish 🥶

POTM this week is shared with three players - Harriet for a relentless game at the back, for a true captains display and with a brilliant performance on the wing.

Thank you for another fantastic game! 🤝

East End Academy 3 - 3 Victoria Park Vixens

📣 Match report from the Gaffa,

A performance for the ages by the players yesterday against a very well, composed and defending champions. The match had it all, from goals, to good saves, great challenges, bad referee calls but ultimately the points were shared.

The team played brilliantly showing immense character, going a goal down early but responding with her first goal Mackenzie. However, scoreline going into the break was 3-1.

The second half was dominant, lots of possession, good movement and opportunities created but no breakthrough. Until Farha in 75th mins, smash and grab kinda goal. Going into the last 15, it was 3-2 and momentum/belief had risen.

It was then, all about a matter of time and it came in 84th mins, a cross from the left from Libby and neatly finished by Klesha, matched by a celebration too. Came close to a winner but it wasn’t to be.

Our player of the match went to Harriet, absolute beast at the back defensively and her constant energy up and down the pitch, galvanizing the players around her. So proud in how she continues to evolve her game.

Then, to our new debutant Rachel. Her composure, assessing threat, breaking up the play and supporting in attack was nothing short of perfect! The energy to do the box to box 👏🏼 we are excited to have you join us.

Today’s performance was very composed, controlled and calm. 4-0 but could have been 14-0. Plenty of chances created, with goals from Issy, Klesha, Farha and ’s first goal for EEA 🔥

Well done, to everyone and to for a great game.

Standout Player of the Match: Farah
Shout out to and in goal- Izzy with a good save and distribution. Ali with the most filthiest of composure 🔥

East End Academy 1 - 2 Crimson Forest

A muddy Weavers Fields hosted a tough battle in the . We fought hard but sadly couldn’t secure a win. POTM goes to our midfield duo, using the muddy conditions to perfectly time slide tackles and adding to her goal tally for the season. Swipe for the screamer 🚀🚀

Thanks for a great game (and sharing the game footage!), we look forward to a rematch in the cup in a few weeks time! 🤝
