This is a great blog post by my mysore teacher, Tom about how yoga can help people who work on their feet and/or suffer from anxiety. Mysore style ashtanga yoga is particularly meditative, as you practise by yourself. You draw your attention inward as you focus only on the movement and the breath. Having a regular mysore practice gives a routine and stability to what may be an otherwise stressful lifestyle. Let me know if you would like to learn more!

The new moon moved into Virgo last week, marking a shift into a time of self healing. The Virgo moon is about slowing down, connecting to your heart's centre and creating time and space so you can focus on yourself.
In yoga philosophy the word 'ahimsa' means 'non violence'. It's about being kind to yourself in order to be kind to others. Practise self love and you will be able to care for those around you. I'm putting this into practice this month and hope those around me benefit from the effects soon.
In other news, I'm back on the yoga scene and will be posting more regularly over the next few weeks. Let me know what you would like to hear from me!
