Jenny Art and Yoga

27/09/2026

After a beautiful, relaxing holiday, it's time to go back to London, a city I love, and back to a job I chose and truly love. Feeling so grateful.

Hi, I’m Jenny, founder of Jenny Art & Yoga LTD.

I am a former lawyer who spent years in the corporate world. After going through a difficult personal loss, I started to study yoga and tap into art to help me heal.

In 2025, I made a big decision: I left my job to follow my passion for people, wellbeing and creativity, and founded Jenny Art & Yoga LTD to bring wellbeing and genuine human connection into working life.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?
This is more than a simple craft activity or a yoga session: it is a guided team-building and wellbeing experience, grounded in evidence and designed to bring people together.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Working with the hands in a focused, repetitive way has a scientifically proven effect on the nervous system and has been linked to lower stress levels.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Done together, side by side, these activities can help people open up and allow colleagues to connect as people, not just employees.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗲?
AI can’t replace the joy of creating.
The excitement of trying something new.
The feeling of sharing an experience with others.
The feeling of being fully present.
The feeling of making something with your own hands.

Creative activities build real connections between people, and I keep seeing it, event after event.

Every session is designed and delivered personally by me, so you are working directly with the person who understands your team’s needs.

𝗠𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: "𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳."

We often talk about career transitions in terms of skills, experience and opportunity. But there is another side to changing direction. It is the moment you realise what you have been doing is not what you actually want.

Taking the risk to do something completely different takes courage. It is not easy. But for me, it was worth it.

Thank you to Shardia OConnor for having me as a guest on her podcast, Shades Of Reality. Shades of Reality is a space for real conversations and deeper insight, exploring identity, psychology, culture and resilience to better understand ourselves, each other and the world we navigate.

The full conversation is out now on YouTube and all major streaming platforms.

"I started journaling last night."

That's what a woman told me on Sunday morning, the day after joining my Mandala Painting workshop at the World Yoga Festival. She had meant to start for a long time, she said. Something about painting her notebook the day before finally made her pick up a pen. She hugged me and thanked me.

A little later, another woman came to find me. She told me she is neurodivergent and her mind is usually wandering in ten directions at once. But while she was painting, she said, she switched off completely. For a while, there was only the mandala in front of her.

This was my third year hosting this workshop at the festival. Over the weekend I ran 5 sessions, welcomed around 80 people, and watched 80 mandala notebooks come to life, each one completely different, each one beautiful.

There is so much quiet work that goes into preparing for a weekend like this, more than people usually see. But moments like these two are why I do it. Watching what creativity can unlock in someone, even in a short hour together, is more fulfilling than anything material could offer.

Thank you to the World Yoga Festival for having me again. I am so grateful.

I am so happy to be at the World Yoga Festival with my creative workshop for wellbeing. I will be hosting 5 workshops during the 4 days of the festival. Join me and experience the power of mandala painting🎨🙏

Join Jenny de Pretto for a beautiful mandala painting workshop at this year’s World Yoga Festival!

Painting a mandala is a simple, enjoyable activity that anyone can do. It’s a wonderful way to relax and reduce stress. The calming, repetitive patterns help you stay in the present moment, encouraging self-expression and personal exploration along the way. It’s a gentle process that supports emotional well-being. In this session, Jenny will guide you step by step. We’ll begin by practicing the technique on paper. Once you feel confident, you’ll move on to painting your own beautiful mandala on a mug or notebook, a unique piece you can take home and enjoy. Please note that a £12 material fee applies to this class.

Hi everyone, I'm Jenny. I am a former lawyer and I recently left my corporate career to follow my passion for art, yoga, people and wellbeing.

This year I'm back at the World Yoga Festival for the third time hosting my creative wellbeing workshop.

Creativity is one of the most powerful tools we have to reduce stress and reconnect with ourselves.

We'll paint mandalas together and you'll take home a notebook painted with your own hands.

You don't need to be an artist. It's simple and open to everyone. If you want to slow down and get creative, come and join me.

I'd love to paint with you.

Last Saturday at the University of Greenwich the sun was shining, the energy was electric, and I had the privilege of being one of the facilitators at the Mental Health Programme of Education Summit 2026.

It was also my first time speaking formally at an event like this one. And I couldn't have asked for a better setting for it.

I spoke about something close to my heart: the power of creativity and art in supporting mental health. Because sometimes, words aren't enough and that's exactly where art steps in. Whether it's through painting, writing, movement, or music, creative expression gives us a language for what lives inside us.

And the science agrees. A 2019 review published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, covering over 900 studies, found that engagement with the arts significantly reduces anxiety, depression and stress. Even 45 minutes of creative activity has been shown to lower cortisol levels, regardless of skill or experience. It helps us process, heal, connect, and rediscover ourselves a genuine tool for wellbeing.

A huge thank you to RitaBarberio Kimberly Auris Ochoa Dr. Jaya Sajnani Jail Anaur Chipantiza Guashpa for curating such a meaningful day, and to Raluca Marinciu for the warm welcome at the University of Greenwich.

And to Jamal Rice, Pariss Sailsman, Nancy Liscano, and all the others not mentioned in this post — so glad our paths crossed. 🙏
