It was Heartbreak last month as our Women lost the National Cup Final in devastating fashion.

Two missed free throws and a foul with 0.6 seconds on the clock whilst up by one point, allowed the Manchester Magic to make two free throws and take an improbable victory at the Worcester Arena.

A pulsating game throughout saw a fast start from our girls before sublime shooting from Magic's Kizzy Spence had them ahead 23-26 after the first quarter.

The second quarter saw Janice Mokanana haul the Cavs ahead but Manchester were sizzling from the three point line as they hit 10 for the half and led 39-48.

However the girls from London were not done, exceptional defence in the third led by Chinwe Iwunze drew them back. She held Spence scoreless for the entire quarter whilst Mrashi Roberts hit the points. It was now a 2 point game 60-62.

The fourth went up and down as no team would back down before the Cavaliers looked to have sealed the game with a late run to lead 81-72 with two minutes to play. Tough buckets from Magic coupled with missed free throws led to the drama at the end, costing London the win. 83-84
