It is with great regret that Chingford United announces the departure of our Central Defender Dragos Stancescu

Dragos joined us at the start of last season and has been an influential player throughout the season. With him in defence, Chingford United managed to have the overall best defence in the top 2 divisions of the Essex Alliance Football League with only 20 goals scored against us.

Following his decision to move back to Romania, Chingford United would like to thank him for his contribution and hard work.

Club Statement:
Following discussions with the Essex Alliance Football League, and London FA, we have reached a conclusion that the 2019/20 season is now over. With 2 league matches left to play, we, Chingford United, would have needed a minimum of 1 point to be crowned as champions! Unfortunately that was not the case, and the season is now over. We did on the other hand conclude the 2019/20 season on first place, crowning ourselves as champions!
2019/20 Statistics:
• Unbeaten since September
• Won against all other teams in our league at least once
• Unbeaten in 17 matches
• Unbeaten at home
• Best defence in the first 2 divisions, conceding only 20
goals
• Average player age of 24 years
We, the Chingford United Executive Committee, would like to thank everyone involved in the club for this past year, for their hard work, determination and courage, and congratulate them for what they have all achieved. We will back next season much stronger.
