AN IMPROVING SHEEN U12's came up agonisingly short against league leaders Teddington in Bushey Park on Tuesday evening.
Pyrotechnics from Flynn Thornton, with 57 off 30 balls including seven fours and two sixes, almost took Sheen over the line.
With 22 needed off the last over, Thornton smoked his two sixes - in all 18 runs off five balls - to leave Sheen needing a boundary for victory off the last ball, but it wasn't to be.

Despite poor weather, Sheen U10's took the field against Hampton Hill on Monday evening in a match that produced a thrilling tie.
Much respect to Raj Ramachandran and Dan Bailey for getting this one on. It's what memories are made of!

Great win for the U12's today against table topping Thames Ditton, spearheaded by telling performances from Flynn Thornton, Jack Bailey, Jake Pinkster and Jaspar Richards.
It truth it was a fine team effort, particularly in the field where Thames Ditton crumbled in the face of tight bowling - losing their last eight wickets for just 20 runs.

ON A night of incendiary batting from Sheen boys, George Cole scored a blistering century, Gilby Richards and Rohan Bhandal 50's and Josh Pagnamenta a valuable 42* as Sheen U12's and U14's swept to victories - losing just one wicket between them on the night.
The U14's moved to the top of the league with their win and the U12's advanced to the semi-finals of the Area Cup.
The night was wrapped up neatly when under eight Ben King took the final wicket for the U14's to clinch their win!

Despite only fielding nine players, the U15's swept Kew aside on the Common last night.
Unbeaten half centuries from Harry Thornton and Josh Pagnamenta and a 19 ball 49* from Rohan Bhandal shot Sheen to 217-0 before Bhandal claimed a clinical 5-1 as Kew lurched to 51-8.

Two super wins this week for the U11's and U13's.
A depleted U11 side nonetheless managed to see off Teddington on the Common with a tremendous all-round team effort (and just 10 players) on Tuesday. Then the U13's strolled to victory at Lonsdale Road against Barnes thanks to half centuries from skipper Rayaan Patel and Jack Bailey last night.

A BRACE of excellent wins in the Surrey League on Sunday at U12 and U10.
The U12's made light of a chase of 110 against Ashtead as Jack Bailey thumped 41 off 22 balls - with support from Gilby Richards and Zac Dias.
Earlier Bailey had grabbed 3-15 as Sheen's bowlers dominated.
The U10's had a tighter game against Thames Ditton but recorded an excellent win, Kartar Dhothar slapping 17* and claiming 2-11 in his man-of-the-match performance.

EARLY season training seemed to pay off on Saturday as a disciplined Sheen U9's scored a comfortable victory over Teddington on the Common.
Sheen lost just four wickets with bat in hand in 20 overs and then Rory Harrison snapped up 3-6 to undermine the Teddington chase.
