Wishing a wonderful retirement to the legend that is Ballaghmor Class 🫶
Yesterday, Oliver Townend announced that his stalwart partner – owned by Karyn Shuter, Angela Hislop and Val Ryan – would retire from competition at the age of 19.
Known as Thomas, the grey gelding is one of the most successful eventing horses in history, with four CCI5* titles and an Olympic team gold medal to his name 🏆🏆🏆🏆🥇
Thomas will continue to live out his days at Oliver's Shropshire yard 🤍

Congratulations to Jane Rogers and 18-year-old Corrieview Merlin Magic on winning their BE100 section at Bicton Arena International Horse Trials 🥇🎉 The combination also won this class last year, so they keep hold of the title! Well done Jane 👏🏽

Arena Eventing Competition Season kicks off this Sunday 26th October.

Omega Equine Points League start again on Sunday too...points in all classes at every Arena Eventing show through till March 2026.
Arena Eventing classes during the winter season will qualify for:
Pyecombe Championships in March 2026.
Sunshine Tour September 2026
SEEL Championship in Summer 2026
Eland Lodge Championships in 2026
NPS (National Pony Society) Championships in 2026.
