POV: You’ve been running on anxiety, adrenaline and to-do lists for as long as you can remember and you’re finally ready to try a different way.
This is for the woman who gets stuff done but is exhausted underneath it all. The one who lies in bed at night running through tomorrow before she’s even finished today. The one who’s tried the books, the breathing exercises, the positive thinking, and none of it has actually shifted the thing that keeps her stuck.
Here are 8 things that have actually helped me, not as concepts but as things I do in real life, as a mum of 2, a working hypnotherapist and someone who spent most of her twenties and thirties running on pure adrenaline.
The biggest shift? Understanding that anxiety isn’t a thinking problem. It’s a subconscious pattern. And you can’t fix a subconscious problem with conscious tools. You have to go to where the programme lives and update it from the inside.
If any of this sounds like you, save this post and come back to it when you need it. And comment RESET if you want my free 25-minute hypnotherapy audio to start working with your subconscious mind instead of against it 💖

Things I wish someone had told me about motherhood - before I was in the thick of it wondering why no one warned me 🤣🤣
They told me I’d be tired. They didn’t tell me I’d feel lonely in a room full of people. That I’d completely lose my sense of identity for a while. That I’d have terrifying intrusive thoughts and think something was wrong with me. That the mental load would be relentless and invisible and thankless.
But they also didn’t tell me about the unexpected gifts. The way your heart expands. The way you stop sweating the small stuff. The way you finally learn to ask for help because you have no choice.
Motherhood is the hardest and most beautiful thing I’ve ever done. And if you’re in the trenches right now - I’m with you 👋🏼. You’re doing an incredible job even when it doesn’t feel like it.

You’re sitting in a meeting with the perfect thing to say - and yet you say nothing. You let the moment pass and spend the drive home replaying it for hours.
Someone asks you to introduce yourself and your mind goes completely blank. Face red, voice weird, and then three hours of picking apart every word you said.
There’s a networking event that could genuinely change things for your business. And you just... don’t go. Because there’s a chance you might have to speak, and that’s enough.
It’s 3am and you’ve got a presentation tomorrow. You’re exhausted but you can’t switch off - heart already fluttering before you’ve even left the house.
You watch someone with half your experience get up and speak like it’s nothing - relaxed, funny, commanding - and you think: why can’t that be me?
Here’s the thing. You’re not lacking confidence in every area of your life. You’re smart, capable, experienced.
But something about speaking up just gets in the way — and it’s costing you opportunities, sleep, and the chance to show up as the version of yourself you know is in there.
It doesn’t have to stay this way.
Comment PDF below and I’ll send you my free Public Speaking Confidence guide - packed with tools to help you feel calmer, more confident, and more like YOU when you speak. 👇

Back in 2019 I spent a month in the Amazon jungle and it changed the way I see everything.
No running water. No toilets. No roads in. Spiders bigger than my hand. Moments that were honestly harder than giving birth.
But since that experience I’ve had this deep gratitude for the most boring, everyday things. Flushing toilets. Washing my hands with soap. A washing machine. Normal sized bugs.
And it taught me something I come back to all the time — with my clients and in my own life.
It’s contrast that makes us appreciate things.
Spring feels amazing because winter was long and dark. Feeling well again after being ill hits different because you remember how rough it was.
Without the hard bits, we take the good bits for granted.
So if you’re in a tough season right now — anxiety, overwhelm, motherhood, work stress — just remember: whatever you’re going through could be creating the contrast for you to really appreciate what comes next.
The hard bit doesn’t last forever. And it might just make the next chapter feel even sweeter.
What’s something you used to take for granted but now feel really grateful for? Tell me below 👇
