I know that feeling.
Two years ago, I had a good job, a good career and absolutely no obvious reason to complain,
but something still felt off.
I felt stuck.
And the frustrating thing about feeling stuck is that there isn’t always something external keeping you there.
Sometimes, it’s fear.
Fear of making the wrong decision.
Fear of starting again.
Fear of losing financial security.
Fear of failing at something new.
Fear of what other people will think.
And eventually I realised something:
No one was coming to make the change for me.
I had to stop waiting to feel ready and start figuring out what I actually wanted my life to look like.
So I started small.
1.
I got brutally honest about what I actually wanted from my career.
2.
I started exploring the things I was naturally drawn to outside of my 9–5.
3.
I gave myself permission to try things without knowing where they would lead.
4.
I stopped seeing my corporate job as golden handcuffs and started using it to fund my next chapter.
5.
And most importantly, I started taking action before I had everything figured out.
Two years later, I still have my corporate career, but I also have a business teaching Pilates, create content and have built a life that feels much more like mine.
I didn’t need to blow up my life.
I just needed to stop waiting for someone else to change it for me.
If you’re feeling stuck right now, maybe that’s not a sign that you’re on the wrong path.
Maybe it’s a sign that you’re ready to start exploring what else is possible.
Save this if you’re in your I need to figure out what I actually want era.
