Making the most of the Freefall Tubing and keeping everything pinned down Paul Hopper had a mega session on his northern syndicate with 9 fish landed with a brace of 30s to 35lb in the mix.

With an unfavourable draw, coming 18 out of 23 it wasn’t looking good but Adam managed to get in a reasonable peg. knowing it was going to be hard as the carp seemed to be left and right which was not ideal but you can only play with the hand your drawn!

Persistence paid off and by using Freefall Green/Black tubing ensuring the line was pinned down on a clear spot in the w**d Adam managed 4 in total, the biggest going 28lb.

Short ronnies were fished over a scattering of bait using size 4 Xcalibr curve and the Camh20 in 20lb.

Moving swim at 6 in the morning certainly paid off for Andy Giles after a quiet night.

With each fish locking him up Andy had to resort to the boat to net them as they charged from w**dbed to w**dbed, certainly a test for the tackle.
