I think I’m in my healing era.
For a long time, I tried to hold everything together, keep moving, keep showing up and keep becoming the version of myself I thought I was supposed to be. I was so wrong and before I was ready I rushed and made decisions and investments that cost me.
But I’m slowly realizing healing looks like admitting that you’re lost. That you’re not okay. That something needs to change.
I’m learning that there is no shame in changing direction, letting go of an identity you worked so hard to build, or starting again and It for sure doesn’t mean you failed (even though it feels like it). It does get tiring when you feel like life keeps knocking you down and you’re trying to build something. But being in constant survival mode, having an unregulated nervous system and feeling constant stress and pressure is not worth it.
Sometimes your ego has to get out of the way so you can actually heal.
And I agree a big part of that is forgiveness.
Forgiving your parents, the people who hurt you, the people who couldn’t love you the way you needed and maybe most importantly, forgiving yourself (which is the hardest)
I don’t know at all what this next chapter looks like yet.
Right now, I’m just giving myself permission to collect myself, heal, make some big changes and find my way back to who I really am and not who I once wanted to be.
