Between fasting, spending time with family, and prayers, it can be difficult to have the time and energy to exercise during Ramadan.
🏋️♀️We have created some useful training tips to help you exercise safely during this holy month.
❗️It is important to acknowledge that a training regime during Ramadan should be chosen based on what a person feels comfortable with.
➡️Gradually decrease training load before and at the start of Ramadan.
➡️Exercise 1-2 hours before Iftar for no longer than 75 minutes. Or exercise 3 hours after Iftar.
➡️Progressively increase the training intensity as you become accustomed to training in a fasted state. (Intensity can be adjusted by changing either the load or the pace of the exercise).
➡️Adjust the timing of training sessions based on the competition schedule and plan heavier training sessions for early evening or late afternoon.
Try to focus on maintaining, rather than increasing your fitness and creating a sustainable (and safe) exercise routine.
