How many times have you told yourself, "I'll start in January"?

And before you know it, another few months have passed and you're having the exact same conversation with yourself.

The thing is, so much can change in 9 weeks. And no, I'm not suggesting you need to be in the gym every day, turn down every social plan or spend Christmas worrying about what you're eating. Quite the opposite, actually.

You can enjoy your life AND work towards your goals. The two don't have to be separate.

Even if it's just getting a couple of workouts in each week, moving a little more or making small changes to your daily habits, it all adds up.

Imagine getting to January and already feeling stronger, more confident and better in yourself, rather than feeling like you're starting from scratch all over again.

You don't need to wait for a new year to start making changes. And you certainly don't need to put your life on hold to make progress.

Just something to think about 🤍

I've been thinking a lot lately about how easy it is to go through life accepting less than we deserve.

And I don't just mean in relationships. I mean friendships, careers, opportunities, the way people treat us, and even the expectations we have for ourselves.

I think sometimes we get so used to certain things that we start convincing ourselves they're normal. That it's just how life is. That maybe we're expecting too much.

I've definitely been guilty of that.

I've allowed things I shouldn't have, made excuses for people, questioned my own worth and stayed in situations longer than I probably should have.

And I think one of the biggest things I've learnt as I've got older is that having boundaries, knowing your worth and respecting yourself isn't selfish.

It's necessary.

There was a time when I genuinely didn't think I'd find someone I could completely be myself around. Someone who would support me, encourage me to grow, celebrate my ambitions and never make me feel like I needed to be less of myself.

But here I am.

And whilst I'm incredibly grateful to have that, I also know that a lot had to change within myself to get here.

Life certainly isn't perfect, and I still have plenty to figure out. But I'm learning that the more you start showing up for yourself, the less willing you become to settle for things that don't feel right.

And that goes for every area of your life.

Sometimes the biggest change isn't what happens around you. It's what you finally decide you're no longer willing to accept 🤍

The older I get, the more I realise how important it is to protect my time and energy. Surround yourself with people who genuinely make you happy, support you and bring out the best in you. Not everyone deserves access to your energy, and that's okay ✌🏼

As a coach and hybrid athlete, I've learnt that not every workout needs maximum stimulation.

With 6am starts, HYROX training, coaching and a busy schedule, I've become much more intentional about how I fuel my body.

Some days I'll still use a stronger pre-workout, but for my day-to-day training I've been loving Free Soul Training Fuel. It contains 80mg of controlled caffeine, paired with nootropic and botanical ingredients, designed to help you feel sharp and in control, not wired and chaotic.

For me, it's a small change that's made a big difference to my routine 🌼

I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately.

Truthfully, life has been a lot behind the scenes. There have been some pretty big changes for both of us, a lot to juggle, a lot to figure out and some moments that have definitely tested us.

But one thing that hasn’t been difficult is us. Through everything, we’ve continued to show up for each other, support each other and somehow still be best friends and soulmates amongst all the chaos. If anything, the real tests life has thrown at us recently have only shown me how strong we are together. It’s one thing to love someone when life is easy, but going through the hard stuff together and still laughing, still choosing each other and still feeling like a team has made me realise I really have found my person 🤍

Amongst all of that, we’ve moved into the most amazing new flat in a quieter little corner of SW London and it finally feels like we can start to breathe and enjoy what we’re building.

There are still some pretty big life changes happening for us as we speak, so this chapter definitely isn’t finished yet. But despite everything that’s been going on, I wouldn’t want to be navigating any of it with anyone else.

I’m so proud of us, of the life we’re building together and of how we’ve held each other through all of it. There’s still a lot ahead, but knowing I get to do it all with my best friend makes me very excited for what’s to come.

Very excited for this next chapter with you, my Jay 🤍
