It is with a heavy heart we are writing this post.

After 50 years + of Enfield Gymnastics Club and working hard since lockdown finished we have been unable to get back into the school. It is due to this we have had no option but to close our doors permanently.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved with the club as a coach, gymnast and parents. We would also like to remember Dory Thurston who started the club and mum Betty Smethurst who both lost the battle to cancer.

We are heartbroken not to be able to continue with mums legacy after over 50 years of working as a coach, judge and lifelong member of British Gymnastics.

This has been one of the hardest decisions we have had to make but as a family we have decided this is our only option.

Thank you again everyone and may we on behalf of the the wonderful Enfield Gymnastics Club Team wish you all the best for the future. 💔💔

Sorry it’s been a long time since we have posted anything about the club. A lot has been happening in the background and we are hoping to send letters out shortly and start getting back to gymnastics soon.
