🇫🇴 Day 4 in the Faroe Islands
Another unforgettable day exploring these incredible islands.
We started with a hike to one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Faroes, where nature creates an optical illusion that is hard to believe until you see it with your own eyes. The combination of cliffs, ocean, and endless open space made it a truly special experience.
Throughout the day, we passed through charming villages, discovered beautiful waterfalls, and enjoyed countless views across the North Atlantic. Around every corner there seemed to be another place worth stopping for.
The highlight of the day was a hike to a legendary rock formation rising from the ocean. Standing high above the coastline, surrounded by nothing but sea, mountains, and fresh Atlantic air, reminded us once again why we love travelling to places like this.
Three days in, and the Faroe Islands continue to amaze us. Not because they try to impress, but because of their untouched beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and the feeling of being far away from the rush of everyday life.

🇫🇴 Day 4 – Vagar Island
What surprised us most today was how different the landscapes can feel within just a few kilometres.
Standing above Sørvágsvatn, it's easy to understand why so many people think the lake is hanging above the ocean. Seeing it with our own eyes was completely different from any photo.
We continued to waterfalls flowing straight towards the Atlantic, followed by a hike to the Witch's Finger rock formation. Along the way, we were reminded that in the Faroe Islands the weather changes constantly, and every turn seems to reveal something unexpected.
A day full of walking, fresh air, and places that looked even better in real life than on social media.

🇫🇴 Day 3 in the Faroe Islands
Our third day was a perfect mix of culture, history, and adventure.
📍 Tórshavn
We started the day in one of the world's smallest capitals. Tórshavn may be small, but it is full of charm. Colorful houses, a picturesque harbor, cozy cafés, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a wonderful place to explore on foot.
📍 National Museum of the Faroe Islands
To better understand the islands, we visited the National Museum. From Viking history and traditional Faroese life to fascinating stories about the islands' culture and heritage, it offered a deeper insight into this unique archipelago.
📍 Kirkjubøur
Next, we headed to the historic village of Kirkjubøur, one of the most important cultural sites in the Faroe Islands. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes, we explored the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral and admired the centuries-old traditional farmhouse that has been inhabited by the same family for generations.
📍 RIB Boat Adventure
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly our RIB boat excursion. Speeding across the North Atlantic, surrounded by towering cliffs, sea stacks, hidden caves, and abundant birdlife, we experienced the Faroe Islands from a completely different perspective.
The combination of rugged nature, powerful ocean scenery, and adrenaline made it an unforgettable experience.
✨ Every day in the Faroe Islands reveals something different. Today was a reminder that these islands are not only about breathtaking landscapes but also about a rich history, strong traditions, and life closely connected to the sea.

Day 2 🇫🇴 Fugloy, Múli & Viðareiði – Places at the Edge of the World
During our journey through the Faroe Islands, we visited some of the most remote and least populated places in the archipelago.
📍 Fugloy
One of the most isolated islands in the Faroe Islands and the easternmost point of the archipelago. Accessible only by ferry or helicopter, Fugloy feels like a world of its own. Life moves at a different pace here, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, endless ocean views, and an incredible sense of tranquility.
📍 Múli
A small abandoned village on the island of Borðoy. Once home to a thriving community, today only a handful of houses remain, standing as silent reminders of a different way of life. Surrounded by mountains and the North Atlantic, Múli feels frozen in time.
📍 Viðareiði
The northernmost village in the Faroe Islands and one of the most beautifully located. Nestled between towering mountains and the ocean, it offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. Standing here, you truly feel at the edge of the world.
✨ The Faroe Islands are not about luxury resorts or crowded tourist attractions. They are about raw nature, peaceful landscapes, and discovering places where time seems to slow down.
Would you visit a place where there are more sheep than people?
