Just the one victory from our three fixtures yesterday afternoon.
The win came from our 3rd XI (121/7) who beat Bingham 4th XI (120/9) by 3 wickets. B.Brown starred with the ball (5-23) with runs being shared amongst the side in the chase (S.Ward: 25, A.Shrestha: 20).
A heavily-changed 1st XI suffered a painful 3 run defeat at Kirkby Portland CC. Promotion-chasing Kirkby Portland were restricted to a total of 196, with T.Hooley being the pick of the bowlers (4-71), supported by J.Parker (3-45). However, Long Eaton came up short after being bowled out for 193 with 10 overs left to play. Top scorers with the bat were A.Nadeem (35) and T.Taylor (34).
Finally, there was a hammering for our 2nd XI from Midlands CC 2nd XI, who posted 294/8 from 35 overs. Despite a fast scoring start to the innings (45/1 after 5 overs), the line up collapsed and our 2's were bowled out for 111.

We are hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday 30th August, raising money for three charities in memory of Tony Cuthbert, Wendy Lee and Brian Fitch; three people who gave so much to our club.
The first of three matches begins at 10am with live music to round off the day at 7pm, with various activites going on throughout the day.
