Another weekend of cricket for the club, with some great individual performances despite a couple of tough results! 💙🏏

🔵 SATURDAY – 1ST XI

The 1st XI welcomed Syston Town in the L&RCL Premier 3 North and unfortunately went down by 72 runs.

👏 Alex Lester – 70 runs
👏 Mike Cound – 46 runs

A fantastic knock from Alex to top score with 70, with Mike also contributing an important 46.

🔵 SATURDAY – 2ND XI

The 2nd XI travelled to Egerton Park in the L&RCL Championship 4 North and unfortunately lost by 39 runs.

🔥 Jimmy Swannell – 102 runs
🔥 Wayne Nortje – 63 runs
🎯 H Maynell – 3/45

A brilliant century from Jimmy, backed up by an excellent 63 from Wayne.

The 1st XI travelled to Bharat Sports in the Premier 3 North and came away with an 83-run defeat.

The 1st XI were beaten by Houghton & Thurnby, while the 2nd XI came agonisingly close before falling to a narrow two-wicket defeat at Shepshed. 🏏 Ahamed Mohamed earns a Player Highlight after a superb innings of 58 runs against Thorpe Arnold.

Ahamed top-scored for the 1st XI with a composed half-century, helping set the platform for an impressive 46-run victory. A vital contribution with the bat. 👏

🏏 Ben Ulyett earns a Player Highlight after finishing 69 not out against Charnwood Old Boys.

Despite a tough day for the 2nd XI, Ben showed great character with an unbeaten 69, battling through the innings and providing the standout performance for his side. 👏
