SNOOKER SHOOTOUT 2026 🏆🔥

A massive thank you to everybody that took part in our annual Snooker Shootout yesterday.

We had a whopping 40 players take part - the most we’ve ever seen for this event!

At the end of it all it was Charlie, our 26/27 Snooker captain who took home the trophy after a penalty shootout against Joseph in the final 🤯

We saw some great quality throughout the day - a new highest break of 36 for our Darts captain Shane, only beaten by a 44 from our current Snooker captain Jude.

Overall it was a great event full of first-time players and great competition, and we hope for many more in the future! 💜

🌟 BUCS SNOOKER 26’ 🔴⚫️

A great few days for our Snooker team at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds. The first BUCS competition for some, and for others, the last chance at some silverware 🏆

The lads fought well all weekend, beating Sheffield Hallam 1s 3-2 in the first game of the team competition. A tough 3-2 loss to Lancaster 2s followed, and finally a 4-1 loss to Leeds 1s, who were seeded #3 for the tournament.
The group finished with ourselves, Lancaster and Sheffield all tied across all metrics. Therefore a pink ball shootout was required, which sent us home in horrible fashion 😫

In the individual event, our captain Jude made it all the way to the last 16 in the championship, only losing out to the #7 seed 💪

Despite the bitter end, the group should be proud of their performances, competing against the best university snooker players in the country.

There is no doubt that we will be back fighting again next year, hungrier, stronger and with some new faces! 😋
