We’ve got a full week of free tennis and pickleball sessions, with something for all ages and abilities!

📅 THURSDAY – Denes Oval
🏓 Improvers Pickleball – 2pm
🏓 Introduction to Pickleball – 3pm
🏓 Family Pickleball – 4pm
🏓 Evening Pickleball – 6pm

📅 FRIDAY
🎾 Home Ed Tennis – Kensington Gardens, 11am
🎾 Walking Tennis – Denes Oval, 2pm

📅 SATURDAY – Normanston Park
🎾 Cardio Tennis – 8am
🎾 Free Parks Tennis – 9am

⛳ Who’s used our FREE Putting Green or Bowls Green this summer?

If you didn’t know, both facilities are completely free to use!

🏌️ Denes Oval Putting Green

Equipment is provided by the clubhouse, available 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm.

📅 Last day for play: Sunday 4th October

🎳 Kensington Gardens Bowls Green

Free equipment is available on site from 10am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, and from 10am to 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Just speak to our grounds person to get you started.

📅 Last day for play: Friday 2nd October

🎉 1,222 PARTICIPANT VISITS across this year’s FREE Summer Sports Programme!

Across 123 hours of FREE sport, fully funded by us, Lowestoft Town Council and delivered by our fantastic local delivery partners.

This year, we invested more into the programme to almost double the number of free sporting hours on offer — and we’re delighted to see participant visits reflect this!

📈 That’s a huge 67.4% increase in participant visits compared to last year, when we recorded 730 participant visits!

A massive well done and thank you to all of our brilliant delivery partners (tagged below) for helping make this summer such a success. 👏

📦 1,250 HOURS OF EQUIPMENT USAGE THIS SUMMER! ☀️

Across June, July & August, our BoxUp lockers have been getting plenty of use across our three parks! 🙌

📍 Denes Oval – 442 hours
📍 Kensington Gardens – 277 hours
📍 Normanston Park – 532 hours

That’s 1,250 hours of FREE equipment use over the summer! 👏

🚨 Record-breaking summer! 🚨

This summer (June, July & August), we’ve seen a record-breaking number of tennis and pickleball court bookings across our facilities! 🎾🏓

With a huge 4,244 bookings, that represents an estimated 10,000+ participant visits over the summer! 🙌

That’s 492 more bookings than last summer — a fantastic 13.1% increase! 📈

It’s brilliant to see so many people making use of our free-to-access tennis and pickleball courts. Thank you to everyone who has played with us this summer! 👏

Well done to everyone who took part in this year’s FREE Summer Sports Programme! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who helped deliver some fantastic sessions throughout the summer – we couldn’t do it without you! 👏

We’ll be sharing the data shortly to show just how many children and young people took part this year, along with a feedback form to find out what you enjoyed and what you’d like to see added next year.

We’re really pleased to have delivered the programme for the second year running, giving local children and young people the opportunity to try different sports and activities completely FREE during the summer holidays.

Hopefully, some of you have discovered a new sport, found a new hobby or simply had lots of fun along the way! ⚽🎾🏀🏃‍♀️
