Great run out for our 3s tonight taking the short trip to Portadown in their first pre season friendly and coming away with a 1-0 win with new coach Paul off to a flying start 🤩👌🏼👏🏻

We’re delighted to have our very own Sue Gibson into the 2s Coach role. With a wealth of experience, Sue will be a fantastic addition for our mighty 2s🤩

Alongside Paul Whiteside as 3s Coach, we’re excited for the season ahead and all that this team will bring! 💪🏑

A huge thank you to Tony Fong and Andrea Herron, who are continuing in their roles as 3s and 4s Managers respectively. 👏

🏆 U18 Youth World Cup Winners 🏆

The girlies went to Amsterdam and SLAYEDDDDD 🔥
A 1-0 win vs Greenfields (Galway) in the final secured the girls the overall win 🤭

Proud of Emma and Kate’s achievements this weekend with the Ulster U18’s - future is bright 💥✨🏑

⭐ U15 COACHING TEAM⭐

We are delighted to share that Sue, Nic and Sophie have been appointed as our U15 coaching team👀👀

Sue brings experience and a passion for developing young players 🫶🏻. Having been involved with Lurgan and several grammar schools for years at all age groups, she knows exactly what it takes to help players grow both on and off the pitch. 😮‍💨

Nic joins with a love of the game and a strong focus on skill development and teamwork. Fresh home from her Irish Masters WC👏🏻, she has coached our 2XI for several years with great success. Her enthusiasm and commitment to youth hockey will be a huge asset as our girls progress through the age groups.🤩

Sophie is currently studying Sport and Exercise Science with the aim of pursuing a PGCE ☺️. She has coached at LJHS & LC, alongside her involvement with Ulster Hockey’s RDP and TDP. Sophie is also a current senior player.🤌🏼🤌🏼

We have no doubt they will do an outstanding job leading our U15s and helping them develop and enjoy their hockey this season. ❤️💛🖤

All roads lead to Avoca 🔥

The 1XI training panel had a pleasant awakening this morning bright and early to head down to Dublin for a double whammy match day 🤪

We would like to thank Avoca Hockey Club for hosting us today in some preseason friendlies and keeping us good company at lunch time while we all tucked into our much needed packed lunch (if you’re anything like me, my mum made an absolutely banging sandwich! I could taste the love that it was made with… thanks mum 🫶🏼

The girls have all earned themselves a well earned rest, that is until Monday when Andy tells us to hit the line 🥵
